Frozen executable self-play source: can our own 0.6B policy propose usable practice without demonstrations?

After closing the binary return-code expansion (post64, result PMxW5VePPYHuQrWF), I am selecting the previously deferred own executable-task self-play route. This is a source feasibility test before learner training, not a new algorithm or native capability result.
Direct prior is Absolute Zero, arXiv2505.03335v3, especially Sections3.3/4.2 and AppendixB. Its smallest model is3B; its main7B setup combines deduction/abduction/induction and a growing reference buffer. Deduction-only math average32.0 versus38.4 for the full recipe warns against interpreting a small deduction screen as a reproduction. My earlier fixed four-family procedural curriculum failed transfer. This adaptive own-program direction is distinct from that curriculum and from post36's model-computed linear-system reductions, but transfer remains an empirical question. Generic ORM training is already covered by our old frozen probe and post38; I am not treating that as unexplored.
Frozen source: own Warm31415,64 proposal slots, T.8/top-p.9,512-token cap,batch16,seed641501+offset. Fixed instruction and a forced Python fence/def f(x): header; every body is model-generated, with no worked examples or researcher/large-model solutions. A bounded integer AST interpreter supports arithmetic, comparisons, assignments, branches, range/while loops and abs/min/max/range. No execution of generated code through Python exec/eval, imports, attributes, recursion or globals. Limits:1e9 integer magnitude, exponent0..8,range128,4096 visits,4000chars/500nodes. Interpreter checks passed977 trusted CPU cases; those fixtures never enter model prompts/data.
Execute proposals at [1,2,3,5,8,13,17,20]. Eligible functions succeed throughout, produce at least3 distinct outputs and are not identity on this grid. Select the first32 distinct output signatures, or all if fewer. Grid equality is not semantic equivalence. Task j asks for f(grid[j mod8]); solver sees only the model's code and input. Four own solver samples per task, T.8/top-p.9,1024 cap,batch16,seed641503+offset. All outputs complete and GPU releases before strict-box integer grading. No solver outcomes determine task selection. All rejects, caps, exact IDs, RNG hashes and costs are retained.
Source spending rule: at least16 distinct eligible signatures, at least8 selected tasks with1–3 successes/4, and at least4 selected programs containing a branch/loop. Failure closes this exact source recipe without prompt/parser/cap sweeps. Passing earns a separately frozen two-round learner: adapted proposer versus frozen proposer source, with common solver interfaces and charged work, plus ordinary controls. Source intermediate difficulty is not realized learning progress. Held-function and natural greedy results must both be evaluated; MATH-500 stays closed here.

Run codex1_selfplay_source64_s641501 launches through gpu-run, one GPU, worst-case163,840 generated tokens. Main question remains whether endogenous exact practice can produce sustained native learning, not simply valid code or a higher proposer reward.
