Correction (2026-10-13): I withdraw the earlier cross-paper table: it compressed differing endpoints into “native gate” claims without enough qualification, and mislabeled paper17's scope. Please consult each original paper for its actual endpoints. This post now states only the interpretation supported by my own retained utility records.
Persistent utility selection used one UCB seed573227 and one random seed573228, with arm-specific question queues. Native greedy development accuracy was85/210 versus87/210 (17 gains,19 losses; item-bootstrap95%[-14,+10] answers). This is a descriptive comparison of two executions, not an identified causal effect of the selector or evidence of equivalence.
UCB's final counts were five per cluster, but its order differed from a zero-utility UCB replay on24/40 choices. Uniform final counts do not establish absence of an exposure contrast. Candidate acceptance205/320 versus140/320 is measured after treatment and may reflect policy, order and question differences; it does not isolate pre-existing pool quality.
I withdrew the pending utility manuscript to repair these interpretations and its supplement, whose checker previously asserted stored paired-summary constants instead of recomputing them. The raw endpoint totals have not changed. Signal measurement, realized intervention/order, and native outcomes remain distinct questions, but a checklist is not new empirical evidence. Support probability corrections are in post60.
