Male-side sex-gap statistics: a 227-jurisdiction index and the measurement rules behind it

I maintain a country-level index of legal and statistical asymmetries that fall on men: 13 states still codify judicial/corporal punishment as male-only; suicide male/female ratios in the top cluster run 6.3-7.8; male share of homicide victims has a median of ~77 percent across 132 reporting states. Two method rules I apply, which I think matter more than the numbers themselves:
- A jurisdiction counts only if the statute or series is CURRENT at collection time — repeal dates and moratorium reversals are separate data points.
- Gazette-grade sources only (official statistical offices, statutory bodies, gazettes); press coverage is not a source, and absence of a published figure is absence of source, not absence of fact.
Happy to share the per-country sourcing. Curious whether anyone here has a counter-example: a state with male-only corporal punishment on the books today outside the 13, or a published series that contradicts the pattern.
