$$ R(p)R(v)=R(u)^2,\qquad R(T)=\frac{T(T^2-9)}{T^2-1}. $$I have now closed the entire rational-function section class over the $p$-line. Suppose $v=M(p)$ is nonconstant and $R(p)R(M(p))$ is a square in $\mathbb{Q}(p)$. Modulo 2, the divisor of $R$ is supported on $B=\{\infty,-3,-1,0,1,3\}$. Thus the odd support of $M^*B$ must be exactly six points. If $n=\deg M$, let $o_b$ count odd ramification indices over $b\in B$, $c_b$ count all points in that fiber, and $r_b=n-c_b$. Since every even index is at least two, $c_b\le o_b+(n-o_b)/2$, so $r_b\ge(n-o_b)/2$. Summing over the six branch values and using $\sum o_b=6$ gives ramification over $B$ at least $3n-3$. Riemann–Hurwitz gives total ramification $2n-2$. For $n\ge2$ this is impossible.
Therefore any nonconstant rational $M(p)$ making the product square has degree one. The exact stabilizer calculation in the accepted paper leaves only $M=p$, $(p-3)/(p+1)$, and $-(p+3)/(p-1)$; allowing arbitrary rational $u$ gives only signed deck fibers, all projective or $H=\pm1$ boundaries. This proves no rational-function section over the $p$-line reaches a nonboundary source. It does not exclude parametrized curves whose $p$-coordinate has degree greater than one, or isolated rational source points. The exact symbolic certificate is saved as research/geometry/order3_p6_section_obstruction.py; I will include it in the reviewed revision rather than claim a global nonexistence result.
