Abstract

Let $-D < 0$ be a fundamental discriminant with ideal class number $h(-D)$ in $K = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D})$ and maximal order $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\frac{1+\sqrt{-D}}{2}]$, and let $S = \{3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 19, 43, 67, 163\}$. Building on the polynomial interpolation method of OpenAI, Banks, Kerr, and Green, we derive explicit class-number-one bounds without $L$-functions or zero-repulsion estimates. Evaluating polynomials on a Euclidean disk $E_{\rho_n} \subset \mathcal{O}_K$ lowers the Archimedean radius exponent to $\alpha + \beta = 3/4 < 1$ and makes $p = 2$ unramified and inert for $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$. Replacing the rectangular bidegree box $[0, R) \times [0, S)$ by the weighted triangle $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} = \{r + Ks < KS = R\}$ halves the Sylvester resultant bound to $RS$, yields an exact quadratic floor-sum weight $w_r(p)\log p = \frac{S_r(R,K,p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ that is strictly decreasing on $[3, R]$, and supports a biconjugate Hasse-Schmidt Frobenius basis and a staircase concavity-ramp variational functional $\mathcal{F}(w)$ with exact Pascal hockey-stick $\Delta_0$, certified by supporting-hyperplane duality and self-certifying interval arithmetic. Purely within the Euler-Rabinowitsch inert window $p \leq \frac{D-3}{4}$, we certify $D \leq B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$ ($\log B_{\text{RS}} \approx 15.572507$) under Rosser-Schoenfeld bounds and $D \leq B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$ ($\log B_{\text{prime}} \approx 15.363188$) via finite prime sums; combining $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ with the split-prime $z'$-tower valuation $v_p(s!)$, joint 1D column remainder sorting, and forced UFD composite-norm subtraction certifies $D \leq B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875$ ($\log B_{\text{hybrid}} \approx 6.774224$), and finite elimination of the remaining $89$ candidates via $p \in \{3, 5, 7, 11\}$ completes the proof.

1. Introduction, Problem Statement, and Main Results

Let $-D < 0$ be a fundamental discriminant and let $h(-D)$ denote the ideal class number of the imaginary quadratic field $K = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D})$ with ring of integers $\mathcal{O}_K$. A classical theorem of Heegner [1], Baker [2], and Stark [3] states that $h(-D) = 1$ if and only if $D$ belongs to the nine-element set

$$ S = \{3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 19, 43, 67, 163\}. $$

In October 2026, OpenAI [4] announced a uniform exclusion of Landau–Siegel zeros via a polynomial interpolation determinant method in biquadratic fields $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D}, \sqrt{d_0})$, which was subsequently simplified and sharpened by Banks [5], Kerr [6], and Green [7]. Following these developments, Tao [8, 9] posed the problem of deriving an explicit finite constant $B$ (and minimizing $\log B$) such that, without invoking Heegner's modular-function methods, Baker's linear forms in logarithms, Goldfeld–Gross–Zagier $L$-function bounds, or the known classification $h(-D) = 1 \iff D \in S$, one can prove directly that

$$ h(-D) = 1 \quad \text{and} \quad D \notin S \implies D \leq B, $$

and then eliminate every remaining candidate $163 < D \leq B$ by an independent finite computation to yield a complete, self-contained resolution of the class-number-one problem.

1.1 Why Uncentered Box Evaluations Require an Analytic Step, and How Euclidean Disks Bypass It

Recall the elementary arithmetic consequences of $h(-D) = 1$ for a fundamental discriminant $-D < -163$ (proved in Lemma 2.1 below): $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ is prime, $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ with $\omega = \frac{1+\sqrt{-D}}{2}$, and every prime $p \leq X := \frac{D-3}{4}$ is inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$, so that the Kronecker symbol satisfies $\left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) = -1$ for all primes $p \leq X$.

In Green's formulation [7] of the polynomial method on $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$, a generalized Vandermonde determinant $V_C$ is evaluated on the uncentered square parameter box $E_{\text{box}} = \{x + y\sqrt{-D} : 0 \leq x, y < N\}$ of cardinality $n = N^2$, using polynomials of bidegree $(r, s) \in [0, R) \times [0, S)$ and derivative order $j \in [0, J)$. Comparing the $p$-adic valuation of $\det V_C$ across odd inert primes $p \leq X$ against the Archimedean upper bound on $|\det V_C|$ yields an inequality of the schematic form

$$ \sum_{\substack{p \leq X \\ \left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) = -1}} \frac{\log p}{p} \leq \alpha \log X + \beta \log D + O(1). $$

On the uncentered parameter box $E_{\text{box}} \subset \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$, the maximum Euclidean modulus is $|z| \asymp N\sqrt{D} = n^{1/2} D^{1/2}$, which forces $\alpha = 1/2$ and $\beta = 1/2$, so $\alpha + \beta = 1$. At the natural class-number-one scale $X = \frac{D-3}{4}$, the leading terms $\log X$ on the left and $\frac{1}{2}\log X + \frac{1}{2}\log D \approx \log X$ on the right cancel identically, failing to produce a direct contradiction unless $X \gg D^{1+\delta}$ (which in turn requires passing through analytic Dirichlet $L$-function estimates and zero-repulsion bounds).

As noted in Tao's geometric sketch [9], the $\beta = 1/2$ exponent is an artifact of evaluating on an uncentered, anisotropic parameter box $N \times N\sqrt{D}$ in $\mathbb{C}$. If we instead evaluate on the first $n$ lattice points $P_1, \ldots, P_n$ of the maximal order $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ ordered by Euclidean norm $|z_1| \leq |z_2| \leq \cdots \leq |z_n| \leq \rho_n$, then since $\mathcal{O}_K$ is a two-dimensional lattice in $\mathbb{C}$ of fundamental covolume $\text{covol}(\mathcal{O}_K) = \frac{\sqrt{D}}{2}$ and covering radius $\delta_D = \frac{\sqrt{D+4}}{4}$, Gauss circle packing guarantees

$$ |z_i| \leq \rho_i := \sqrt{\frac{i\sqrt{D}}{2\pi}} + \frac{\sqrt{D+4}}{4} \qquad (1 \leq i \leq n). $$

Consequently, $\log \rho_n = \frac{1}{2}\log n + \frac{1}{4}\log D + O(1)$, which cuts the discriminant exponent $\beta$ in half from $\beta = 1/2$ to $\beta = 1/4$ so that $\alpha + \beta = \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{4} = \frac{3}{4} < 1$. At $X = \frac{D-3}{4}$, the $p$-adic lower bound grows as $\log D$ while the Archimedean upper bound grows as $\frac{3}{4}\log D$, leaving a positive leading margin of $+\frac{1}{4}\log D$ and unlocking a purely algebraic, analytic-free contradiction!

1.2 Summary of Main Results and Structural Innovations

A naive implementation of the Minkowski-balanced box in $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ over odd primes $p \geq 3$ with Green's rectangular bidegree space $[0, R) \times [0, S)$ yields an explicit threshold around $\log B \approx 30.15$ ($B \approx 1.24 \times 10^{13}$). In this paper, we introduce six exact algebraic, combinatorial, and variational innovations that reduce $\log B$ by nearly a factor of two (and reduce $B$ by more than six orders of magnitude, down to $B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$ and $B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$ purely within the Euler–Rabinowitsch inert window $p \leq \frac{D-3}{4}$):

  1. Maximal-Order Frobenius Congruence at $p = 2$ (Lemma 2.2): Working in the maximal order $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ ($\omega = \frac{1+\sqrt{-D}}{2}$) rather than the index-$2$ subring $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ makes $p = 2$ an unramified inert prime whenever $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$. Since $\omega^2 - \omega + \frac{D+1}{4} = 0$ with $\frac{D+1}{4}$ odd, $\omega^2 \equiv 1 - \omega = \bar{\omega} \pmod{2\mathcal{O}_K}$, so $z^2 \equiv \bar{z} \pmod{2\mathcal{O}_K}$ and $\partial_z(z^2 - z') = 2z \in 2\mathcal{O}_K$. Including $p = 2$ contributes $+\frac{\log 2}{2} \approx 0.3466$ to the prime sum and unlocks $2$-adic higher Frobenius boosts.
  2. Weighted Triangular Bidegree Polytope $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ and Halved Resultant Degree (Lemmas 3.1–3.2): Fixing an integer slope $K \geq 2$ and setting $R = KS$, we replace the rectangular bidegree box $[0, R) \times [0, S)$ by the discrete triangle $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} = \{(r, s) \in \mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0}^2 : r + Ks < KS = R\}$ of dimension $M_{\text{tri}} = \frac{R(S+1)}{2}$. Using weighted Sylvester matrix index-sum invariance, we prove that $\sum_{\ell} \deg_{z'} \text{Res}_z(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell) \leq RS$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, cutting Green's $2RS$ resultant degree bound in half.
  3. Irreducible Fiber-Line Zero Bound and Decoupling $J > S$ (Lemma 3.3): By decomposing $E_{\rho_n}$ into horizontal lattice lines $y = y_0$ (of count $\leq M_y = 2\lfloor 2\rho_n/\sqrt{D}\rfloor + 1$ and width $\leq M_x = \lfloor 2\rho_n\rfloor + 1$), we bound simple zeros of irreducible factors by $M_y d_\ell + M_x d'_\ell$ rather than $J(d_\ell + d'_\ell)$. This removes the $+R$ artifact from the rank condition, allowing $J > S$ (specifically $J = \lfloor \varepsilon_J R\rfloor \approx 1.80 S$) and reducing $n$ by more than a factor of two.
  4. Exact Triangle $h_1$ Identity, Suffix Ceiling Identity, Exact Quadratic Floor Sum $S_r(R,K,p)$, and Over-Scaling $R = c_R X$ (Lemmas 4.1–4.2): On $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, the $p$-adic shift exponent $h_1(r, s) = \min\left(\lfloor r/p\rfloor, \left\lfloor \frac{R-1-r-Ks}{K-p}\right\rfloor\right)$ for $1 \leq p < K$ satisfies the exact identity $2\sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} h_1(r, s) = \frac{R(S^2-1)}{3} = W_2$, while for $p \geq K$ we have $h_1(r, s) = \lfloor r/p\rfloor$ with zero top-boundary truncation. Because $R = KS$, the exact ceiling identity $\left\lceil \frac{R-r}{K}\right\rceil = S - \left\lfloor \frac{r}{K}\right\rfloor = \frac{R-r+(r\bmod K)}{K}$ combined with Chebyshev's sum inequality on each block of length $K$ bounds $2\sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} h_1(r,s)$ below by $\frac{1}{K}S_r(R, K, p)$, where $S_r(R, K, p) := 2\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(R, p) + (K - 1)\sum_{r=0}^{R-1}\lfloor r/p\rfloor = \sum_{m=1}^q (R - mp)(R + K - mp) = A_q - B_q p + C_q p^2$ ($q = \lfloor R/p\rfloor$) satisfies the exact derivative identity $-\frac{d}{dp}\big[p \cdot S_r(R, K, p)\big] = q\big(\frac{q-1}{2}p^2 + r_0(2p - r_0) + K(p - r_0)\big) > 0$ (making $w_r(p)\log p := \frac{S_r(R,K,p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ strictly decreasing on $[3, R]$) and a Bernoulli-3 expansion whose floor loss $-\frac{3}{2R}\sum_{K \leq p \leq X}\log p$ is shrunk by a factor of $c_R = 2.3 > 1$.
  5. Biconjugate $\mathbb{F}_{p^2}$-Frobenius Basis, Higher Even Powers on $T_{\text{bot}}(L_0)$, and Full Prime-Power Legendre Cancellation (Lemma 4.3 & Section 5.1): Using Hasse–Schmidt divided derivatives $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} = \frac{1}{j!}\partial_z^j$, we introduce for $2 \leq p < K$ the biconjugate Frobenius basis $P_{r,s}^{(p)}(z, z') = z^{r_0}(z^{p^2} - z)^{m(r,s)}(z^p - z')^{h_1(r,s)}(z')^{s\bmod p}((z')^p - z)^{\lfloor s/p\rfloor}$ on $T_{\text{top}}(L_0)$ and $z^{r_0}(z^{p^2} - z)^{m(r,s)}(z^p - z')^{h_1(r,s)}(z')^{s\bmod p}((z')^p - z)^{u(s)} B_s^{(p)}(z')$ on $T_{\text{bot}}(L_0)$ (where $u(s) = \lfloor s/p\rfloor \bmod p$ and $B_s^{(p)}(z') = \prod_{\ell \geq 1} F_\ell(z')^{d_\ell} \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$ is the pure-$z'$ Artin–Schreier–Witt tower), and for $p \geq K$ the $z'$-towered basis $z^{r\bmod p}(z^p - z')^{\lfloor r/p\rfloor} A_s^{(p)}(z')$. This preserves Hermite averaging while unlocking all higher even powers $\sum_{\ell \geq 1}\lfloor s/p^{2\ell}\rfloor$ across $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ for every inert prime $p \geq 2$, and achieves complete first-power Legendre cancellation ($K_{\text{drop}} = 0$) while retaining all higher prime-power factorial savings $p^\ell \leq Q_0 = J - 1$ ($\ell \geq 2$).
  6. Staircase Concavity-Ramp Coupling, Exact Pascal Hockey-Stick Identity for $\Delta_0$, and Convex Variational Duality (Lemmas 5.1–5.2): Using the exact joint quantile envelope $(r+s)_{(k)} \geq R u_{r+s}(k/M_{\text{tri}}) - 2$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, we bound the non-zero Leibniz entries $\binom{r}{j}$ jointly with the linear derivative orders $j$ and radial positions $\rho_i$. Specifically, by taking a $60$-step Legendre-transform staircase of supporting lines to the concave function $x \mapsto g_{\max}(r_u(u_k), x)$ on $[j_{\text{top},(k)}, j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)]$ and bounding the negative radial correction $\sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}}(J - r - s)_+ \leq \binom{J+2}{3} - \binom{(J-S)_+ + 2}{3}$ via the exact integer Pascal hockey-stick identity (with equality whenever $J \leq K + S - 1$), we couple the falling-factorial saving to $\frac{1}{2}\sum_{r=1}^{60}\Delta\nu_r(\tau_r - w_b)_+^2$ in the convex variational functional $\mathcal{F}(w)$ with zero Riemann-sum discretization error.

Combining these components yields our main theorem:

Theorem 1.1 (Explicit Tenth-Discriminant Bounds and Self-Contained Classification). Let $-D < 0$ be a fundamental discriminant not belonging to $S = \{3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 19, 43, 67, 163\}$ such that $h(-D) = 1$.

  1. (Pure inert window, Rosser–Schoenfeld bounds): Setting $(c_R, K, \varepsilon_J, K_{\text{drop}}) = (2.3, 31, 0.058, 0)$ with prime cutoff $P_{\max} \leq X := \frac{D-3}{4}$ and using only the classical explicit prime-sum estimates of Rosser and Schoenfeld [10, Theorems 4, 6, and 18], one has$$ D \leq B_{\text{RS}} := 5,795,003 \qquad (\log B_{\text{RS}} \approx 15.572507). $$
  2. (Pure inert window, finite prime sums): Replacing the continuous Mertens and Chebyshev error bounds on the bounded transitional interval $D \in [4,700,539, \, 5,795,003]$ by direct finite prime-sum evaluation of $\frac{1}{K}S_r(R, K, p)\log p$ over primes $p \leq \lfloor(D-3)/4\rfloor$ (requiring no quadratic-residue sieving) certifies the pure inert-window Vandermonde determinant contradiction down to$$ D \leq B_{\text{prime}} := 4,700,539 \qquad (\log B_{\text{prime}} \approx 15.363188, \; X = 1,175,134). $$
  3. (Hybrid triangular biconjugate jet + split-prime norm-form & forced UFD composite subtraction): Extending the prime cutoff to $P_{\max} \in \{1,699,999, \, 8,999,999\} \subset (X, M_{\text{lo}}^3)$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ and bounding the non-inert prime deficit on $(X, P_{\max}]$ via the split-prime $z'$-tower valuation $v_p(s!)$, the exact monotone weight $w_r(p)\log p = \frac{S_r(R,K,p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$, the split column Legendre saving with joint 1D remainder sorting, the quadrant bijection for primitive odd norms $N_D(x + y\omega) = x^2 + xy + \frac{D+1}{4}y^2 \leq P_{\max}$, and forced UFD composite-norm subtraction certifies across $29$ contiguous intervals on $[875, \, 4,700,539]$ that$$ D \leq B_{\text{hybrid}} := 875 \qquad (\log B_{\text{hybrid}} \approx 6.774224, \; X = 218). $$
  4. (Certified finite elimination): Every remaining integer $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ in $(163, 875]$ ($89$ integers) has at least one odd prime $p \in \{3, 5, 7, 11\}$ satisfying $p < \frac{D+1}{4}$ and $\left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) \in \{0, +1\}$ (since $D = 883$ and $D = 907$, where $3, 5, 7, 11$ are all inert, are already eliminated by $B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875 < 883$); more generally, all $806,229$ integers $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ in $(163, 6,450,000]$ are eliminated in $0.21\text{ seconds}$ by an odd prime $p \leq 61$ satisfying $p < \frac{D+1}{4}$ ($p = 61$ uniquely at $D = 2,404,147$). Consequently, $h(-D) = 1$ if and only if $D \in S$.

2.1 Comparison with Prior Work, Biquadratic Evaluations, and Split-Prime Ideal Counting

The classical resolution of the Gauss class-number-one problem by Heegner [1], Baker [2], and Stark [3] relies on modular invariants or linear forms in logarithms of algebraic numbers. Goldfeld [11] and Gross–Zagier [12] later obtained effective lower bounds for $h(-D)$ for general class numbers using heights of Heegner points on modular curves.

Our approach belongs to the purely algebraic polynomial interpolation paradigm initiated by OpenAI [4] for Landau–Siegel zeros and streamlined by Banks [5], Kerr [6], and Green [7]. In OpenAI [4], Banks [5], and Kerr [6], auxiliary evaluations are performed in a biquadratic field $L = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D}, \sqrt{d_0})$ (with $d_0 = 2$ in [5]). Notably, Banks [5, Lemmas 6.1–6.2] retains all odd primes $p$ with $\left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) = -1$ in $L = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D}, \sqrt{2})$ by matching each prime's splitting behavior $\left(\frac{2}{p}\right) = \pm 1$ to the corresponding Galois automorphism $\sigma$ or $\sigma\tau$ as the Frobenius element modulo $p$. Green [7, Sections 2–5 and Appendix A] subsequently eliminated the auxiliary real quadratic field altogether by working directly in the quadratic subring $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ using the Frobenius congruence $z^p \equiv \bar{z} \pmod{p\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]}$ for odd inert primes $p$, formulating the determinant method via a nonsingular $M \times M$ minor of the evaluation matrix and bounding higher-multiplicity roots via the $2RS$ Sylvester resultant degree bound. Tao [8, 9] observed that specialized to $h(-D) = 1$, every prime $p < (D+1)/4$ is inert and suggested rebalancing the evaluation grid to achieve $\alpha + \beta < 1$.

Within Green's single-field determinant paradigm [7], working directly in the maximal order $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ of $K = \mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D})$ rather than in a biquadratic extension $L$ or the index-$2$ subring $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ avoids doubling the degree of the field norm $N_{L/\mathbb{Q}}$, halves the fundamental lattice covolume from $\sqrt{D}$ to $\frac{\sqrt{D}}{2}$ on the Euclidean disk $E_{\rho_n}$, and makes $p = 2$ an unramified inert prime whenever $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ (whereas $p = 2$ ramifies in both $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ and $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-D}, \sqrt{2})$).

In important concurrent works, mira_cairn [13] (Uniform quadratic $L$-value bounds from Green's determinant and ideal counting, version 3) and twinheterodox [14] (A smoothed Frobenius determinant bound for the tenth discriminant, v0.6.0) establish class-number-one thresholds ($D < 12100$, $\log B \approx 9.401$ in [13], and $D < 570$ in [14], alongside general class-number and quadratic $L$-value bounds) and independently utilize maximal-order finite-field determinant valuations including $p = 2$. It is instructive to compare both the pure inert-window regime and the extended split-prime regime:

  • Purely inert-window geometry on the weighted triangle $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ ($P_{\max} \leq X = \frac{D-3}{4}$): Restricted to the pure Euler–Rabinowitsch inert window $P_{\max} \leq X = \frac{D-3}{4}$ (using only Lemma 2.1 with zero split-prime ideal counting above $X$), Green's rectangular bidegree space $[0, R) \times [0, S)$ on a Minkowski-balanced box in $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{-D}]$ requires $B \approx 5.12 \times 10^{12}$ ($\log B \approx 29.27$; Stage 1 of Table 2). Replacing the rectangular monomial box $[0, R) \times [0, S)$ by the weighted triangular polytope $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} = \{r + Ks < R\}$ on the maximal-order Euclidean disk $E_{\rho_n} \subset \mathcal{O}_K$, together with the exact factor-weight resultant bound $\sum_\ell W_\ell < RS$ (Lemma 3.1), the triangular ceiling/Chebyshev floor-sum upgrade and exact quadratic identity $S_r(R, K, p)$ (Lemma 4.2), the biconjugate Hasse–Schmidt basis (Lemma 4.3), and staircase concavity-ramp variational duality with the Pascal hockey-stick identity (Lemma 5.2), reduces $\log B$ by nearly a factor of two purely within the inert window $P_{\max} \leq \frac{D-3}{4}$, down to $B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$ and $B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$.
  • Combining $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ with split-prime norm counting and forced UFD composites above $X = \frac{D-3}{4}$ ($P_{\max} > X$): In [13] and [14], the polynomial determinant is combined with lattice-point counting of prime-norm ideals above $X = \frac{D+1}{4}$ (via reduced norm forms, finite Fourier hyperbola counts and Mellin transforms in [13], or smoothed valuations and an auxiliary inert prime as monomial width in [14]). Because our triangular monomial-space and biconjugate jet mechanisms act on the evaluation matrix itself, they combine directly with split-prime norm counting above $X$: as we prove in Section 6.1 (Step 3), extending $P_{\max} \in \{1,699,999, \, 8,999,999\} \subset (X, M_{\text{lo}}^3)$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ and combining the split-prime $z'$-tower valuation $v_p(s!)$, the exact monotone weight $w_r(p)\log p$, the split column Legendre saving with joint 1D remainder sorting, and forced UFD composite-norm subtraction pushes our self-certifying interval-arithmetic bound all the way down to the three-digit threshold $B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875$ ($\log B_{\text{hybrid}} \approx 6.774224$; Stage 7 of Table 2).

2.2 Elementary Reduction and Frobenius at $p = 2$ in $\mathcal{O}_K$

Lemma 2.1 (Elementary Inert-Prime Reduction for $h(-D) = 1$). Let $-D < 0$ be a fundamental discriminant with $h(-D) = 1$ and $D \notin S = \{3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 19, 43, 67, 163\}$. Then $D > 163$ is a prime satisfying $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$, $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ with $\omega = \frac{1+\sqrt{-D}}{2}$, and every prime $p \leq X := \frac{D-3}{4}$ is inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$.

Proof. By direct inspection of fundamental discriminants $\leq 163$, $D > 163$. If $-D$ had two distinct prime factors, genus theory (or the existence of an ambiguous ideal of order $2$ dividing $\sqrt{-D}$) would give $2 \mid h(-D)$, a contradiction; hence $D$ is prime and $D \equiv 3 \pmod{4}$, so $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ with norm $N_{K/\mathbb{Q}}(x + y\omega) = x^2 + xy + \frac{D+1}{4} y^2$. Every non-real element $x + y\omega \in \mathcal{O}_K \setminus \mathbb{Z}$ ($y \neq 0$) has norm $(x + y/2)^2 + \frac{D}{4} y^2 \geq \frac{D+1}{4}$. If any prime $p \leq \frac{D-3}{4} < \frac{D+1}{4}$ split or ramified in $\mathcal{O}_K$, say $p\mathcal{O}_K = \mathfrak{p}\bar{\mathfrak{p}}$ with $N(\mathfrak{p}) = p$, then $h(-D) = 1$ would force $\mathfrak{p} = (x + y\omega)$ with $y \neq 0$ (since $N(x) = x^2 \neq p$), impossible as $p < \frac{D+1}{4} \leq N(x + y\omega)$. Thus every prime $p \leq X$ is inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$; in particular $p = 2$ is inert, so $\frac{D+1}{4}$ is odd and $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$. $\square$

Lemma 2.2 (Maximal-Order Frobenius Congruence Including $p = 2$). Let $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ be prime, $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$, and let $p \geq 2$ be any prime that is inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$. Define $\psi_1(z, z') := z^p - z'$ and $\psi_2(z) := z^{p^2} - z$. Then for every $z_0 = x + y\omega \in \mathcal{O}_K$ and its conjugate $z'_0 = \bar{z}_0 = x + y\bar{\omega}$:

$$ \psi_1(z_0, z'_0) = z_0^p - z'_0 \in p\mathcal{O}_K, \qquad \psi_2(z_0) = z_0^{p^2} - z_0 \in p\mathcal{O}_K. $$

Proof. Since $p$ is unramified and inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$, the quotient $\mathcal{O}_K / p\mathcal{O}_K$ is the finite field $\mathbb{F}_{p^2}$ of $p^2$ elements, and complex conjugation $z \mapsto \bar{z}$ induces the non-trivial Galois automorphism $\text{Frob}_p(z) = z^p$ of $\mathbb{F}_{p^2} / \mathbb{F}_p$. Explicitly, for $p = 2$, since $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$, the integer $m := \frac{D+1}{4}$ is odd and $\omega^2 = \omega - m \equiv \omega - 1 = -\bar{\omega} \equiv \bar{\omega} \pmod{2\mathcal{O}_K}$. Hence for any $z_0 = x + y\omega \in \mathcal{O}_K$, $z_0^2 = x^2 + 2xy\omega + y^2\omega^2 \equiv x + y\bar{\omega} = z'_0 \pmod{2\mathcal{O}_K}$. Applying $\text{Frob}_p$ twice gives $z_0^{p^2} \equiv (z'_0)^p \equiv \bar{z}'_0 = z_0 \pmod{p\mathcal{O}_K}$ for all inert $p \geq 2$. $\square$

2.3 Gauss Packing on the Maximal-Order Euclidean Disk $E_{\rho_n}$

Lemma 2.3 (Euclidean Disk Radius Bound in $\mathcal{O}_K$). Let $P_1, P_2, \ldots, P_n$ be the first $n$ elements of $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ ordered by non-decreasing Euclidean modulus $|z_1| \leq |z_2| \leq \cdots \leq |z_n|$ (breaking ties arbitrarily), where $P_i = (z_i, \bar{z}_i)$. Then for every $1 \leq i \leq n$:

$$ |z_i| \leq \rho_i := \sqrt{\frac{i\sqrt{D}}{2\pi}} + \delta_D, \qquad \text{where } \delta_D := \frac{\sqrt{D+4}}{4}. $$

Proof. Under the canonical embedding $x + y\omega = (x + y/2) + i \frac{\sqrt{D}}{2} y \in \mathbb{C}$, the lattice $\mathcal{O}_K$ is spanned by $1$ and $\frac{1 + i\sqrt{D}}{2}$, so its fundamental parallelogram has area $\text{covol}(\mathcal{O}_K) = \frac{\sqrt{D}}{2}$ and diameter $2\delta_D = \sqrt{(1/2)^2 + (\sqrt{D}/2)^2} = \frac{\sqrt{D+4}}{2}$. Thus every point of $\mathbb{C}$ lies within Euclidean distance $\delta_D = \frac{\sqrt{D+4}}{4}$ of a lattice point of $\mathcal{O}_K$, and the Voronoi cell $V(z)$ of each $z \in \mathcal{O}_K$ is contained in the closed disk $\overline{B}(z, \delta_D)$ of area $\frac{\sqrt{D}}{2}$. For any radius $r > 0$, the Voronoi cells of all lattice points $z \in \mathcal{O}_K$ inside the open disk $B(0, r)$ are disjoint and contained in $B(0, r + \delta_D)$, so $\#(\mathcal{O}_K \cap B(0, r)) \cdot \frac{\sqrt{D}}{2} \geq \pi (r - \delta_D)_+^2$. Setting $r = \rho_i$ gives $\pi(\rho_i - \delta_D)^2 = i \frac{\sqrt{D}}{2}$, so at least $i$ lattice points of $\mathcal{O}_K$ have modulus $\leq \rho_i$; hence $|z_i| \leq \rho_i$. $\square$

3. The Weighted Triangular Polytope $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ and Irreducible Fiber-Line Rank Condition

3.1 Weighted Sylvester Resultant Degree Bound on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$

Fix an integer slope $K \geq 2$ and an integer $S \geq 10$, and set $R := KS$. Define the weighted triangular bidegree polytope

$$ \Lambda_{\text{tri}} := \big\{(r, s) \in \mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0}^2 : r + Ks < KS = R\big\} = \big\{(r, s) \in \mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0}^2 : 0 \leq s < S, \, 0 \leq r < K(S - s)\big\}. $$

Summing over $t := S - s \in \{1, 2, \ldots, S\}$ gives the exact dimension and degree moments of $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$:

$$ \begin{aligned} M_{\text{tri}} &:= |\Lambda_{\text{tri}}| = \sum_{t=1}^S Kt = \frac{R(S+1)}{2}, \qquad W_{\text{main}} := \frac{R^2 S}{3}, \\ W_1 &:= \sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} 2r = \sum_{t=1}^S Kt(Kt - 1) = \frac{R^2(S+1)(2S+1)}{6S} - M_{\text{tri}}, \\ W_2 &:= \sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} 2s = \sum_{t=1}^S 2Kt(S - t) = \frac{R(S^2 - 1)}{3}. \end{aligned} $$

Lemma 3.1 (Weighted Sylvester Resultant Degree Bound on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$). Let $F(z, z') = \sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} a_{r,s} z^r (z')^s \in \mathbb{C}[z, z']$ be a non-zero polynomial supported in $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, factored into irreducibles as $F(z, z') = F_0(z') \prod_{\ell=1}^k F_\ell(z, z')$, where $d_\ell := \deg_z F_\ell \geq 1$ and $d'_0 := \deg_{z'} F_0$. For each $\ell \in \{1, \ldots, k\}$, define the weighted degree $W_\ell := \max_{(i,j)\in\text{supp}(F_\ell)} (Si + Rj)$. Then $W_\ell \geq S d_\ell$, $\sum_{\ell=1}^k W_\ell \leq S(R - 1) - R d'_0 = R(S - d'_0) - S < RS$, and the Sylvester resultant of $F_\ell$ and $\partial_z F_\ell$ with respect to $z$ satisfies

$$ \deg_{z'} \text{Res}_z\big(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell\big) \leq \left\lfloor \frac{(2d_\ell - 1)W_\ell - S d_\ell(d_\ell - 1)}{R} \right\rfloor \leq \frac{W_\ell^2}{RS}, \qquad \sum_{\ell=1}^k \deg_{z'} \text{Res}_z\big(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell\big) < RS. $$

Proof. Since the Newton polygon of a product is the Minkowski sum of the Newton polygons of its factors, the maximum of the linear functional $Si + Rj = S(i + Kj)$ is additive over factors: $R d'_0 + \sum_{\ell=1}^k W_\ell = \max_{(r,s)\in\text{supp}(F)} S(r + Ks) \leq S(R - 1) = RS - S < RS$, so $\sum_{\ell=1}^k W_\ell \leq S(R - 1) - R d'_0 = R(S - d'_0) - S < RS$. Writing $F_\ell(z, z') = \sum_{i=0}^{d_\ell} c_i(z') z^i$ with $c_{d_\ell}(z') \neq 0$, the definition of $W_\ell$ implies $W_\ell \geq S d_\ell + R \deg_{z'} c_{d_\ell} \geq S d_\ell$ and $R \deg_{z'} c_i \leq W_\ell - Si$ for every $0 \leq i \leq d_\ell$. In the $(2d_\ell - 1) \times (2d_\ell - 1)$ Sylvester matrix of $\big(z^{d_\ell - 2 - u} F_\ell\big)_{0 \leq u \leq d_\ell - 2}$ and $\big(z^{d_\ell - 1 - v} \partial_z F_\ell\big)_{0 \leq v \leq d_\ell - 1}$ with columns indexed by $z^{2d_\ell - 2 - c}$ ($0 \leq c \leq 2d_\ell - 2$), the entry in row $u$ of $F_\ell$ at column $c$ is $c_{i(u,c)}(z')$ with $z$-index $i(u, c) = d_\ell - c + u$, and the entry in row $v$ of $\partial_z F_\ell$ at column $c$ is $i(v, c) c_{i(v,c)}(z')$ with $z$-index $i(v, c) = d_\ell - c + v$. For any permutation $\sigma \in S_{2d_\ell - 1}$ contributing a non-zero product to $\det$, summing the $z$-indices across all $2d_\ell - 1$ rows yields

$$ \sum_{r=1}^{2d_\ell - 1} i_r = (d_\ell - 1)d_\ell + d_\ell^2 - \sum_{c=0}^{2d_\ell - 2} c + \sum_{u=0}^{d_\ell - 2} u + \sum_{v=0}^{d_\ell - 1} v = d_\ell(d_\ell - 1). $$

Hence the $z'$-degree of that diagonal product is at most $\frac{1}{R}\sum_{r=1}^{2d_\ell - 1} (W_\ell - S i_r) = \frac{(2d_\ell - 1)W_\ell - S d_\ell(d_\ell - 1)}{R}$. Because $W_\ell \geq S d_\ell > S(d_\ell - 1)$, we have $W_\ell^2 - S\big((2d_\ell - 1)W_\ell - S d_\ell(d_\ell - 1)\big) = (W_\ell - S d_\ell)\big(W_\ell - S(d_\ell - 1)\big) \geq 0$, and therefore $\deg_{z'} \text{Res}_z(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell) \leq \frac{W_\ell^2}{RS}$. Summing over $\ell$ gives $\sum_{\ell=1}^k \frac{W_\ell^2}{RS} \leq \frac{(\sum_\ell W_\ell)^2}{RS} \leq \frac{(RS - S)^2}{RS} < RS$. $\square$

3.2 Irreducible Fiber-Line Zero Bound and Removal of the $+R$ Rank Artifact

Lemma 3.2 (Irreducible Fiber-Line Zero Bound on $E_{\rho_n}$). Let $D > 163$, let $E = \{P_1, \ldots, P_n\} \subset \mathcal{O}_K$ be contained in the disk $|z| \leq \rho_n$, and define the horizontal fiber count $M_y := 2\lfloor 2\rho_n / \sqrt{D}\rfloor + 1$ and fiber width $M_x := \lfloor 2\rho_n\rfloor + 1$ (noting $M_y \leq M_x$ since $\sqrt{D} > 2$). Then for any irreducible polynomial $F_\ell(z, z') \in \mathbb{C}[z, z']$ of bidegree $(d_\ell, d'_\ell)$ with $d_\ell \geq 1$, the number of points $P_i = (z_i, \bar{z}_i) \in E$ where $F_\ell(P_i) = 0$ satisfies

$$ \#\big\{i \in \{1, \ldots, n\} : F_\ell(P_i) = 0\big\} \leq M_y d_\ell + M_x d'_\ell. $$

Proof. Every $P_i \in E$ has $z_i = x_i + y_i\omega$ with $|\text{Im}(z_i)| = |y_i|\frac{\sqrt{D}}{2} \leq \rho_n$, so $y_i \in \mathbb{Z}$ takes at most $M_y$ values, and for each fixed $y_0$, $\text{Re}(z_i) = x_i + y_0/2 \in [-\rho_n, \rho_n]$ takes at most $M_x$ values in $\mathbb{Z} + y_0/2$. On each horizontal line $y = y_0$, we have $\bar{z} = z - y_0\sqrt{-D}$, so $g_{y_0}(z) := F_\ell(z, z - y_0\sqrt{-D}) \in \mathbb{C}[z]$ has degree $\leq d_\ell + d'_\ell$. If $g_{y_0} \not\equiv 0$ for all $y_0 \in \mathbb{Z}$, then $g_{y_0}$ has at most $d_\ell + d'_\ell$ roots on each of the at most $M_y$ horizontal lines, giving $\#\{i : F_\ell(P_i) = 0\} \leq M_y(d_\ell + d'_\ell) \leq M_y d_\ell + M_x d'_\ell$ (since $M_y \leq M_x$). If instead $g_{y_0} \equiv 0$ for some $y_0 \in \mathbb{Z}$, then the linear polynomial $z - z' - y_0\sqrt{-D}$ divides $F_\ell(z, z')$ in $\mathbb{C}[z, z']$; by irreducibility of $F_\ell$, $F_\ell(z, z') = c(z - z' - y_0\sqrt{-D})$ for some $c \in \mathbb{C}^\times$, so $d_\ell = d'_\ell = 1$ and $F_\ell(P_i) = c(y_i - y_0)\sqrt{-D}$ vanishes only on the single line $y_i = y_0$, which contains at most $M_x = M_x d'_\ell \leq M_y d_\ell + M_x d'_\ell$ points of $E$. $\square$

Lemma 3.3 (Full-Rank Criterion on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ Without the $+R$ Artifact). Let $J \geq 2$ be an integer and let $V^{\text{HS}}$ be the $M_{\text{tri}} \times (nJ)$ Hasse–Schmidt evaluation matrix with rows $(r, s) \in \Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, columns $(i, j) \in \{1, \ldots, n\} \times \{0, \ldots, J-1\}$, and entries $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)}\big(z^r (z')^s\big)\big|_{P_i} = \binom{r}{j} z_i^{r-j} \bar{z}_i^s$. If

$$ n > \frac{RS + M_y R + \max(0, M_x - J)S}{J} + S, $$

then $\text{rank}(V^{\text{HS}}) = M_{\text{tri}}$, so there exists a subset $C \subset \{1, \ldots, n\} \times \{0, \ldots, J-1\}$ of cardinality $|C| = M_{\text{tri}}$ such that the square submatrix $V_C^{\text{HS}}$ is non-singular ($\det V_C^{\text{HS}} \in \mathcal{O}_K \setminus \{0\}$).

Proof. Suppose for contradiction that $\text{rank}(V^{\text{HS}}) < M_{\text{tri}}$. Then there exists a non-zero polynomial $F(z, z') = F_0(z') \prod_{\ell=1}^k F_\ell(z, z')$ supported in $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ such that $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} F(P_i) = 0$ for all $1 \leq i \leq n$ and $0 \leq j < J$. Let $m_i(\ell) \geq 0$ be the multiplicity of $z = z_i$ as a root of $z \mapsto F_\ell(z, \bar{z}_i)$. Since $F_0$ has degree $d'_0 < S$ and each $\bar{z}_i$ uniquely determines $z_i$, $F_0(\bar{z}_i) = 0$ for at most $d'_0$ points $P_i$; on the remaining $\geq n - d'_0$ points, $\sum_{\ell=1}^k m_i(\ell) \geq J$, so $\sum_{i=1}^n \sum_{\ell=1}^k m_i(\ell) \geq J(n - d'_0)$. For each $\ell \in \{1, \ldots, k\}$, let $E_1(\ell) = \{i : m_i(\ell) \geq 1\}$ and $E_2(\ell) = \{i : m_i(\ell) \geq 2\}$. Since $F_\ell$ is irreducible in $\mathbb{C}[z, z']$ with $d_\ell \geq 1$, $\text{Res}_z(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell)(z') \not\equiv 0$, and if $z = z_i$ is a root of $F_\ell(z, \bar{z}_i)$ of multiplicity $m_i(\ell) \geq 2$, then $(z' - \bar{z}_i)^{m_i(\ell) - 1}$ divides $\text{Res}_z(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell)(z')$, so $\sum_{i \in E_2(\ell)} (m_i(\ell) - 1) \leq \deg_{z'} \text{Res}_z(F_\ell, \partial_z F_\ell)$. Summing $|E_1(\ell)| + \sum_{i \in E_2(\ell)} (m_i(\ell) - 1)$ over $\ell = 1, \ldots, k$ using $\sum_{\ell=1}^k d_\ell < R$, $\sum_{\ell=1}^k d'_\ell \leq S - d'_0$, Lemma 3.1, and Lemma 3.2 gives

$$ J n \leq \sum_{\ell=1}^k \Big(|E_1(\ell)| + \sum_{i \in E_2(\ell)} (m_i(\ell) - 1)\Big) + J d'_0 < RS + M_y R + M_x(S - d'_0) + J d'_0 \leq RS + M_y R + \max(0, M_x - J)S + JS $$

(since $M_x(S - d'_0) + J d'_0 = JS + (M_x - J)(S - d'_0) \leq JS + \max(0, M_x - J)S$ as $0 \leq S - d'_0 \leq S$), contradicting our hypothesis on $n$. Finally, since $\binom{r}{j} \in \mathbb{Z}$ and $z_i, \bar{z}_i \in \mathcal{O}_K$, every entry of $V_C^{\text{HS}}$ lies in $\mathcal{O}_K$, and conjugating $V_C^{\text{HS}}$ swaps $z_i \leftrightarrow \bar{z}_i$, so $\det V_C^{\text{HS}} \in \mathcal{O}_K \setminus \{0\}$ and $N_{K/\mathbb{Q}}(\det V_C^{\text{HS}}) = |\det V_C^{\text{HS}}|^2 \in \mathbb{Z}_{\geq 1}$. $\square$

4. Exact Triangle Moment Identities, Bernoulli-3 Floor Sums, and the Hybrid $\mathbb{F}_{p^2}$-Frobenius Basis

4.1 Exact Triangle $h_1$ Identity and Right-Subtriangle Parameterization

For each inert prime $p \leq X$ and each bidegree $(r, s) \in \Lambda_{\text{tri}} = \{r + Ks < KS = R\}$, define the primary Frobenius exponent

$$ h_1(r, s) := \begin{cases} \min\left(\left\lfloor \dfrac{r}{p} \right\rfloor, \, \left\lfloor \dfrac{K(S - s) - 1 - r}{K - p} \right\rfloor\right) & \text{if } 2 \leq p < K, \\[10pt] \left\lfloor \dfrac{r}{p} \right\rfloor & \text{if } p \geq K. \end{cases} $$

Lemma 4.1 (Exact Triangle $h_1$ Identity and Right-Subtriangle Parameterization). For every integer $1 \leq p < K$:

  1. The sum of $2h_1(r, s)$ over $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ is independent of $p$ and equals $W_2$ identically:$$ 2 \sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} h_1(r, s) = \frac{R(S^2 - 1)}{3} = W_2. $$
  2. On each row $s \in \{0, \ldots, S-1\}$ with $t := S - s \in \{1, \ldots, S\}$, the residual $z$-degree $w(r, s) := r - p h_1(r, s)$ takes the values $c \in \{0, \ldots, p-1\}$ ($t$ times each) on the left segment $0 \leq r < pt$, and takes the values$$ w(r, s) = Kd + c \qquad (0 \leq d \leq t - 1, \; p \leq c \leq K - 1) $$once each on the right segment $pt \leq r < Kt$. Across all of $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, each value $Kd + c$ ($0 \leq d \leq S-1$, $p \leq c \leq K-1$) occurs with exact multiplicity $S - d$.

Proof. (1) Fix $s \in \{0, \ldots, S-1\}$ and let $t = S - s \in \{1, \ldots, S\}$. For any integer $k \geq 1$, an integer $r \in \{0, \ldots, Kt - 1\}$ satisfies $h_1(r, s) \geq k$ if and only if $r \geq pk$ and $Kt - 1 - r \geq (K - p)k$, i.e., $pk \leq r \leq Kt - 1 - (K - p)k$. The number of such integers $r$ is $\max\big(0, (Kt - 1 - (K - p)k) - pk + 1\big) = K\max(0, t - k)$, which is independent of $p$. Summing over $k \geq 1$ gives $\sum_{r=0}^{Kt-1} h_1(r, s) = \sum_{k=1}^{t-1} K(t - k) = \frac{Kt(t-1)}{2}$, and summing $2 \times \frac{Kt(t-1)}{2}$ over $t = 1, \ldots, S$ yields $\frac{KS(S^2 - 1)}{3} = W_2$.

(2) On the right segment $pt \leq r < Kt$, we have $\lfloor r/p\rfloor \geq t > \left\lfloor \frac{Kt - 1 - r}{K - p}\right\rfloor = h_1(r, s)$. Writing $Kt - 1 - r = (K - p)q + \text{rem}$ with $0 \leq q \leq t - 1$ and $0 \leq \text{rem} \leq K - p - 1$ gives $h_1(r, s) = q$ and

$$ r - p h_1(r, s) = \big(Kt - 1 - (K - p)q - \text{rem}\big) - pq = K(t - 1 - q) + (K - 1 - \text{rem}) = Kd + c, $$

where $d := t - 1 - q \in \{0, \ldots, t-1\}$ and $c := K - 1 - \text{rem} \in \{p, \ldots, K-1\}$. Summing over $t \in \{d+1, \ldots, S\}$ gives multiplicity $S - d$. $\square$

4.2 Exact Quadratic Floor Sum $S_r(R, K, p)$, Bernoulli-3 Expansion, and Over-Scaling $R = c_R X$

For primes $p \geq K$, replacing $z^p$ by $-z'$ decreases $r + Ks$ by $p - K \geq 0$, so $h_1(r, s) = \lfloor r/p\rfloor$ has zero top-boundary truncation on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$. Because $R = KS$ is a multiple of $K$, for each $r \in \{0, \ldots, R-1\}$, writing $r = Kd + c$ with $d = \lfloor r/K\rfloor \in \{0, \ldots, S-1\}$ and $c = r \bmod K \in \{0, \ldots, K-1\}$ shows that the exact number of $s \in \{0, \ldots, S-1\}$ with $(r, s) \in \Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ is

$$ \left\lceil \frac{R - r}{K}\right\rceil = \left\lceil S - d - \frac{c}{K}\right\rceil = S - d = \frac{R - r + c}{K} = \frac{R - r + (r \bmod K)}{K}. $$

Lemma 4.2 (Exact Quadratic Floor Sum $S_r(R, K, p)$, Strict Monotonicity of $w_r(p)\log p$, and Bernoulli-3 Expansion). For any integers $R = KS \geq 1$ and $p \geq 1$, let $q := \lfloor R/p\rfloor$, $r_0 := R - qp \in \{0, \ldots, p-1\}$, and $\theta_p := r_0 / p \in [0, 1)$, and define $\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(R, p) := \sum_{r=0}^{R-1}\lfloor r/p\rfloor(R - r)$ and $S_r(R, K, p) := 2\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(R, p) + (K - 1)\sum_{r=0}^{R-1}\lfloor r/p\rfloor$. Then:

  1. On each contiguous block $r = Kd + c$ ($0 \leq d \leq S-1$, $0 \leq c \leq K-1$) of length $K$, both $c = r \bmod K$ and $\lfloor (Kd + c)/p\rfloor$ are non-decreasing functions of $c$, so Chebyshev's sum inequality gives $\sum_{r=0}^{R-1}(r \bmod K)\lfloor r/p\rfloor \geq \frac{K-1}{2}\sum_{r=0}^{R-1}\lfloor r/p\rfloor$, and hence for all $p \geq K$:$$ 2\sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} h_1(r, s) \geq \frac{1}{K} S_r(R, K, p) = \frac{1}{K}\sum_{m=1}^q (R - mp)(R + K - mp) = \frac{1}{K}\big(A_q - B_q p + C_q p^2\big), $$where $A_q := qR(R + K)$, $B_q := \frac{q(q+1)}{2}(2R + K)$, and $C_q := \frac{q(q+1)(2q+1)}{6}$.
  2. Considered as a piecewise polynomial on $(0, \infty)$ with $q = \lfloor R/p\rfloor$, $S_r(R, K, p)$ is continuous at every knot $p = R/q$ (where $(R - qp)(R + K - qp) = 0$) and satisfies on each interval $p \in \big(\frac{R}{q+1}, \frac{R}{q}\big]$ ($q \geq 1$, $r_0 = R - qp \in [0, p)$) the exact derivative identity$$ -\frac{d}{dp}\Big[p \cdot S_r(R, K, p)\Big] = 2 B_q p - 3 C_q p^2 - A_q = q\left(\frac{q - 1}{2}p^2 + r_0(2p - r_0) + K(p - r_0)\right) > 0. $$Since both $p \mapsto p \cdot S_r(R, K, p)$ and $p \mapsto \frac{\log p}{p}$ are positive and strictly decreasing on $[3, R]$, their product $w_r(p)\log p := \frac{S_r(R, K, p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ is strictly decreasing on $[3, R]$ (and $0$ on $[R, \infty)$).
  3. Expanding in $\theta_p = r_0 / p \in [0, 1)$ gives $\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(R, p) = \frac{R^3}{6p} - \frac{R^2}{4} + \frac{R^2}{4p} + \frac{pR}{12} - \frac{R}{4} - \frac{p^2}{12}\theta_p(1 - \theta_p)(1 - 2\theta_p) + \frac{p}{4}\theta_p(1 - \theta_p)$ and the analytical Bernoulli-3 lower bound$$ w_r(p) = \frac{S_r(R, K, p)}{K W_{\text{main}}} \geq \frac{1}{p} - \frac{3}{2R} + \frac{3K}{2Rp} + \frac{p}{2R^2} - \frac{3K}{2R^2} - \frac{p^2}{12\sqrt{3} R^3}. $$

Proof. Writing $\lfloor r/p\rfloor = \sum_{m=1}^q \mathbf{1}_{r \geq mp}$ and exchanging summation order gives $\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(R, p) = \sum_{m=1}^q \sum_{r=mp}^{R-1}(R - r) = \sum_{m=1}^q \frac{(R - mp)(R - mp + 1)}{2}$ and $\sum_{r=0}^{R-1}\lfloor r/p\rfloor = \sum_{m=1}^q (R - mp)$, so $S_r(R, K, p) = \sum_{m=1}^q (R - mp)(R + K - mp) = A_q - B_q p + C_q p^2$. Substituting $R = qp + r_0$ into $2 B_q p - 3 C_q p^2 - A_q$ yields $q(q+1)K p - q(qp + r_0)K = qK(p - r_0)$ for the $K$-linear part and $q\big(2(q+1)(qp + r_0)p - \frac{(q+1)(2q+1)}{2}p^2 - (qp + r_0)^2\big) = q\big(\frac{q-1}{2}p^2 + r_0(2p - r_0)\big)$ for the $K = 0$ part, proving (2). Substituting $q = \frac{R - p\theta_p}{p}$ and $|\theta_p(1-\theta_p)(1-2\theta_p)| \leq \frac{1}{6\sqrt{3}}$ gives (3). $\square$

Notice three crucial features of Lemma 4.2: first, for finite prime sums and norm intervals $[p_{\text{lo}}, p_{\text{hi}}] \subset [3, \infty)$, Part (1) and Part (2) give the exact quadratic weight $w_r(p) = \frac{A_q - B_q p + C_q p^2}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ (summable in $O(\sqrt{R})$ operations by grouping primes with identical $q = \lfloor R/p\rfloor$) and the exact endpoint enclosure $w_r(p_{\text{hi}})\log p_{\text{hi}} \leq w_r(p)\log p \leq w_r(p_{\text{lo}})\log p_{\text{lo}}$; second, in the analytical Bernoulli-3 expansion of Part (3), the floor loss on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ is $-\frac{3}{2R}$ accompanied by $+\frac{3K}{2Rp}$; third, choosing $R = K \lfloor c_R X / K\rfloor \approx c_R X$ with $c_R = 2.3 > 1$ reduces the floor loss $\frac{3}{2R}\sum_{p \leq X} \log p \approx \frac{1.5}{c_R}$ by a factor of $2.3$ while keeping the positive Bernoulli-3 gain $+\frac{1}{2R^2}\sum_{p \leq X} p\log p \approx \frac{0.25}{c_R^2}$.

4.3 Biconjugate $\mathbb{F}_{p^2}$-Frobenius Basis, Pure-$z'$ Tower on $T_{\text{bot}}(L_0)$, and Unified Valuation

For every inert prime $p \geq 2$, define the Artin–Schreier–Witt integer polynomial tower $F_\ell(z') \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$ ($\ell \geq 1$) in the conjugate variable $z'$ alone by $F_1(z') := (z')^{p^2} - z'$ and $F_{\ell+1}(z') := F_\ell(z')^{p^2} - p^{\nu_\ell(p^2 - 1)} F_\ell(z')$, where $\nu_\ell := \frac{p^{2\ell} - 1}{p^2 - 1}$. By Lemma 2.2, $v_p(F_1(\bar{z}_i)) \geq 1 = \nu_1$, and induction on $\ell$ gives $v_p(F_\ell(\bar{z}_i)) \geq \nu_\ell$ for all $\ell \geq 1$. Writing the base-$p^2$ digits of $s \geq 0$ as $d_0 := s - p^2\lfloor s/p^2\rfloor$ and $d_\ell := \lfloor s/p^{2\ell}\rfloor - p^2\lfloor s/p^{2\ell+2}\rfloor$ ($\ell \geq 1$), define $B_s^{(p)}(z') := \prod_{\ell \geq 1} F_\ell(z')^{d_\ell} \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$ (monic of degree $p^2\lfloor s/p^2\rfloor$ in $z'$ alone, with $v_p(B_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)) \geq \sum_{\ell \geq 1} d_\ell \nu_\ell = \sum_{\ell \geq 1} \lfloor s / p^{2\ell}\rfloor$) and $A_s^{(p)}(z') := (z')^{d_0} B_s^{(p)}(z') \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$.

For each inert prime $2 \leq p < K$, $(r, s) \in \Lambda_{\text{tri}}$, and integer cut $L_0 \in \{0, \ldots, S\}$ partitioning the right subtriangle $\{r \geq p(S - s)\}$ into $T_{\text{top}}(L_0) := \{1 \leq S - d \leq L_0\}$ and $T_{\text{bot}}(L_0) := \Lambda_{\text{tri}} \setminus T_{\text{top}}(L_0)$, set $m(r, s) := \left\lfloor \frac{r - p h_1(r, s)}{p^2}\right\rfloor$, $r_0 := r - p h_1(r, s) - p^2 m(r, s) \geq 0$, $u(s) := \lfloor s/p\rfloor \bmod p \in \{0, \ldots, p-1\}$, $M(r, s) := m(r, s) + \lfloor s/p\rfloor$, and $M_{\text{bot}}(r, s) := m(r, s) + u(s)$, and define the biconjugate $p$-adapted basis polynomial

$$ P_{r,s}^{(p)}(z, z') := \begin{cases} z^{r_0} \big(z^{p^2} - z\big)^{m(r,s)} \big(z^p - z'\big)^{h_1(r,s)} (z')^{s \bmod p} \big((z')^p - z\big)^{\lfloor s/p\rfloor} & \text{if } (r, s) \in T_{\text{top}}(L_0), \\[8pt] z^{r_0} \big(z^{p^2} - z\big)^{m(r,s)} \big(z^p - z'\big)^{h_1(r,s)} (z')^{s \bmod p} \big((z')^p - z\big)^{u(s)} B_s^{(p)}(z') & \text{if } (r, s) \in T_{\text{bot}}(L_0), \end{cases} $$

while for $p \geq K$ we set $P_{r,s}^{(p)}(z, z') := z^{r \bmod p} (z^p - z')^{\lfloor r/p\rfloor} A_s^{(p)}(z')$. Under the total order $\prec_p$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ sorted lexicographically by $(pr + s, \, s)$, replacing $z^{p^2} \mapsto z$ decreases $pr + s$ by $p(p^2 - 1)$, replacing $z^p \mapsto z'$ decreases $pr + s$ by $p^2 - 1$ while staying inside $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ by the definition of $h_1(r, s)$, replacing $(z')^p \mapsto z$ preserves $pr + s$, decreases $s$ by $p$, and changes $r + Ks$ by $1 - Kp < 0$, and lower terms of $B_s^{(p)}(z')$ decrease $s$ while preserving $r$. Hence $\{P_{r,s}^{(p)}\}_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}}$ is unitriangular with determinant $\pm 1$ with respect to $\{z^r (z')^s\}_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}}$.

Lemma 4.3 (Unified Hasse–Schmidt Biconjugate $\mathbb{F}_{p^2}$-Frobenius Valuation Lemma). Let $P_i = (z_i, \bar{z}_i) \in \mathcal{O}_K$ and $j \geq 0$.

  1. For every inert prime $2 \leq p < K$, $(r, s) \in T_{\text{top}}(L_0)$ satisfies $v_p\big(\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} P_{r,s}^{(p)}(P_i)\big) \geq \max\big(0, \, h_1(r, s) - \lfloor (j - M)/p\rfloor, \, h_1(r, s) + M - j\big)$, while $(r, s) \in T_{\text{bot}}(L_0)$ satisfies$$ v_p\Big(\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} P_{r,s}^{(p)}(P_i)\Big) \geq \max\left(0, \; h_1(r, s) - \left\lfloor \frac{j - M_{\text{bot}}}{p} \right\rfloor\right) + \sum_{\ell \geq 1} \left\lfloor \frac{s}{p^{2\ell}} \right\rfloor \geq h_1(r, s) + \left\lfloor \frac{m(r, s) + u(s)}{p} \right\rfloor + \sum_{\ell \geq 1} \left\lfloor \frac{s}{p^{2\ell}} \right\rfloor - \left\lfloor \frac{j}{p} \right\rfloor. $$
  2. For every inert prime $p \geq K$ and every $(r, s) \in \Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ with $0 \leq j \leq r$ (while $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} P_{r,s}^{(p)} \equiv 0$ for $j > r$),$$ v_p\Big(\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)} P_{r,s}^{(p)}(P_i)\Big) \geq \max\left(0, \; \left\lfloor \frac{r}{p} \right\rfloor - \left\lfloor \frac{j}{p} \right\rfloor\right) + \sum_{\ell \geq 1} \left\lfloor \frac{s}{p^{2\ell}} \right\rfloor. $$

Proof. (1) By Lemma 2.2, $c_0 := z_i^p - \bar{z}_i \in p\mathcal{O}_K$, $\bar{c}_0 = \bar{z}_i^p - z_i \in p\mathcal{O}_K$, and $d_0 := z_i^{p^2} - z_i \in p\mathcal{O}_K$, with $(z_i + t)^p - \bar{z}_i = (c_0 + p g_1(t)) + t^p$, $\bar{z}_i^p - (z_i + t) = \bar{c}_0 - t$, and $(z_i + t)^{p^2} - (z_i + t) = (d_0 + p g_2(t)) + (-t + t^{p^2})$ for polynomials $g_1, g_2 \in \mathcal{O}_K[t]$. Expanding $P_{r,s}^{(p)}(z_i + t, \bar{z}_i)$ by the binomial theorem, each summand indexed by $0 \leq a_1 \leq h_1$ (selecting $t^p$ from $(z_i+t)^p - \bar{z}_i$) and $0 \leq a_2 \leq M$ (selecting $-t$ or $-t + t^{p^2}$ from the $M$ factors) has coefficients in $p^{(h_1 - a_1) + (M - a_2)}\mathcal{O}_K$ and is divisible by $t^{p a_1 + a_2}$. Thus it contributes to $[t^j]$ only if $p a_1 + a_2 \leq j$, which implies both $a_1 + a_2 \leq j$ and $p(a_1 + a_2) = p a_1 + a_2 + (p - 1)a_2 \leq j + (p - 1)M$, so $(h_1 - a_1) + (M - a_2) \geq \max\big(0, \, h_1 + M - j, \, h_1 - \lfloor (j - M)/p\rfloor\big)$. On $T_{\text{bot}}(L_0)$, because $B_s^{(p)}(z') \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$ is independent of $z$, $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)}$ factors through $B_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)$, adding $v_p(B_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)) \geq \sum_{\ell \geq 1}\lfloor s/p^{2\ell}\rfloor$ to the untowered bound with $M_{\text{bot}} = m(r, s) + u(s)$. (2) For $p \geq K$, $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)}$ factors through $A_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)$, adding $v_p(A_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)) \geq \sum_{\ell \geq 1} \lfloor s/p^{2\ell}\rfloor$ to the $M = 0$ case of (1). $\square$

Weighted triangle superlevel cut and convex variational duality profile

Crucially, on the right subtriangle $r \geq p(S - s)$ parameterized in Lemma 4.1(2) by $d \in \{0, \ldots, S-1\}$, $c \in \{p, \ldots, K-1\}$, and $s \in \{0, \ldots, L - 1\}$ with $L := S - d$, $m(d, c) = \lfloor (Kd + c)/p^2\rfloor$ is independent of $s$. As $s$ runs over $\{0, \ldots, L - 1\}$, Hermite's identity $\sum_{u=0}^{p-1}\left\lfloor \frac{m + u}{p}\right\rfloor = m$ holds identically on each full block of length $p^2$, while on the remaining $L \bmod p^2$ elements the deficit is at most $\frac{p^2}{4}$, yielding the exact pointwise inequality $\sum_{s=0}^{L-1}\left\lfloor \frac{m(d, c) + u(s)}{p}\right\rfloor \geq \frac{L}{p}m(d, c) - \frac{p^2}{4}$. On $T_{\text{top}}(L_0) = \{1 \leq L \leq L_0\}$ of exact cardinality $|T_{\text{top}}(L_0)| = (K - p)\frac{L_0(L_0+1)}{2} =: q_0 M_{\text{tri}}$, decomposing $\left\lfloor \frac{s}{p}\right\rfloor = \sum_{\ell \geq 1}\left\lfloor \frac{s}{p^{2\ell}}\right\rfloor + \left(\left\lfloor \frac{s}{p}\right\rfloor - \sum_{\ell \geq 1}\left\lfloor \frac{s}{p^{2\ell}}\right\rfloor\right)$ combines the even powers $\sum_{\ell \geq 1}\lfloor s/p^{2\ell}\rfloor$ across all of $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} = T_{\text{bot}}(L_0) \cup T_{\text{top}}(L_0)$ into $2K\sum_{\ell \geq 1}\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(S, p^{2\ell})$ and leaves $2(K - p)\big(\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(L_0, p) - \sum_{\ell \geq 1}\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(L_0, p^{2\ell})\big)$ on $T_{\text{top}}(L_0)$. Using $\sum_{c=p}^{K-1} m(d, c) \geq \frac{K-p}{p^2}\big(K(S - L) + \frac{K+p-1}{2} - (p^2 - 1)\big)$ gives the closed-form lower bound $w_{\text{keep}}(p)$ for $2 \leq p < K$ with $K_{\text{drop}} = 0$:

$$ w_{\text{keep}}(p) := \frac{W_2 + 2K\sum_{\ell \geq 1} \Sigma_{\text{tri}}(S, p^{2\ell})}{W_{\text{main}}} + \max_{0 \leq L_0 \leq S}\left[\frac{\big(m_{\text{top}}(L_0) + m_{\text{bot}}(L_0) - \frac{p^2}{2}(S - L_0)(K - p) + 2(K - p)(\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(L_0, p) - \sum_{\ell \geq 1}\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(L_0, p^{2\ell}))\big)_+}{W_{\text{main}}} - 3q_0\left(1 - \frac{1}{2}q_0\theta\right)\frac{p - 1}{p}\frac{J}{R}\right], $$

where $\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(N, m) := \sum_{s=0}^{N-1}(N - s)\lfloor s/m\rfloor$ is given in closed form by Lemma 4.2, $m_{\text{top}}(L_0) := \frac{2(K-p)}{p^2}\big(K\sum_{L=1}^{L_0} L(S-L) + c_{K,p}\sum_{L=1}^{L_0} L\big)$, and $m_{\text{bot}}(L_0) := \frac{2(K-p)}{p^3}\big(K\sum_{L=L_0+1}^S L(S-L) + c_{K,p}\sum_{L=L_0+1}^S L\big)$ with $c_{K,p} := \frac{K+p-1}{2} - (p^2 - 1)$.

5. Exact Quantile Envelopes, Legendre Cancellation, and Convex Variational Duality

5.1 Exact Individual and Joint Quantile Envelopes, Stirling Concavity, and Legendre Cancellation

Lemma 5.1 (Exact Individual and Joint Quantile Envelopes on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$). Let $r_{(1)} \leq \cdots \leq r_{(M_{\text{tri}})}$, $s_{(1)} \leq \cdots \leq s_{(M_{\text{tri}})}$, and $(r+s)_{(1)} \leq \cdots \leq (r+s)_{(M_{\text{tri}})}$ denote the non-decreasing rearrangements of $r$, $s$, and $r+s$ on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$. Set $G_k := k / M_{\text{tri}} \in (0, 1]$ and $u_k := 1 - \sqrt{1 - G_k}$. Then for every $k \in \{1, \ldots, M_{\text{tri}}\}$:

$$ R u_k - 1 \leq r_{(k)} \leq (R + K) u_k, \qquad S u_k - 1 \leq s_{(k)} \leq (S + 1) u_k, \qquad (r+s)_{(k)} \geq R u_{r+s}(G_k) - 2, $$

where $u_{r+s}(G) := \sqrt{G / K}$ for $0 \leq G \leq 1/K$ and $u_{r+s}(G) := 1 - \sqrt{\frac{K-1}{K}(1 - G)}$ for $1/K < G \leq 1$.

Proof. The individual bounds for $r_{(k)}$ and $s_{(k)}$ follow by applying the trapezoidal convexity rule to $\sum_{t=1}^S \max(0, Kt - (r_0 + 1)) \geq M_{\text{tri}}\big(1 - \frac{r_0+1}{R}\big)^2$. For the joint sum $z = r + s$, on the scaled continuous triangle $T = \{x, y \geq 0 : x + Ky \leq 1\}$ of area $\frac{1}{2K}$, the sublevel set $\{x + y \leq u\}$ has area $\frac{u^2}{2}$ for $u \in [0, 1/K]$ (giving $G = K u^2$) and complement area $\frac{(1 - u)^2}{2(K - 1)}$ for $u \in [1/K, 1]$ (giving $1 - G = \frac{K}{K - 1}(1 - u)^2$). Accounting for the lattice boundary shift of at most $2$ yields $(r+s)_{(k)} \geq R u_{r+s}(G_k) - 2$. $\square$

In any non-zero Leibniz product $\prod_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}} V_C^{\text{HS}}\big((r_k, s_k), (i_{\pi(k)}, j_{\pi(k)})\big)$, every factor has $\binom{r_k}{j_{\pi(k)}} \neq 0$, which forces $j_{\pi(k)} \leq r_k$. By the concavity of $\log(x)$, the falling factorial satisfies $\sum_{t=0}^{j-1} \log\big(\frac{r - t}{R}\big) \leq \int_0^j \log\big(\frac{r + 1 - t}{R}\big)\,dt = R\big[r_u \log r_u - (r_u - j_u)\log(r_u - j_u) - j_u\big]$, where $r_u := \min\big(1, \frac{r+1}{R}\big)$ and $j_u := \frac{j}{R} \in [0, r_u]$. On the $p$-adic side, because $K_{\text{drop}} = 0$, each column $(i, j) \in C$ pays $\sum_{p \leq J} \lfloor j/p\rfloor \log p$. Combining this with $-\log(j!)$ via Legendre's formula $j! = \prod_{p \leq j} p^{\sum_{\ell \geq 1} \lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor}$ cancels the entire first-power prime sum $\sum_{p \leq j} \lfloor j/p\rfloor \log p$ identically for all primes $p \geq 2$, leaving only higher prime powers $\ell \geq 2$. For any prime-power cutoff $Q_0 \geq 1000$ (specifically $Q_0 := J - 1$ on every finite constant-parameter interval, which retains all non-zero prime-power floors $\lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor$ since $\lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor = 0$ for $p^\ell > J - 1 \geq j$, and $Q_0 := 1000$ on the unbounded infinite tail $[6,450,000, \infty)$ so zero new prime powers enter as $J \to \infty$), since $-\lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor \log p \leq 0$ for $p^\ell > Q_0$:

$$ -\log(j!) + \sum_{p \leq J} \left\lfloor \frac{j}{p} \right\rfloor \log p \leq -\sum_{\substack{p \geq 2, \, \ell \geq 2 \\ p^\ell \leq Q_0}} \left\lfloor \frac{j}{p^\ell} \right\rfloor \log p = j\,\sigma_2(Q_0) - \sum_{\substack{p \geq 2, \, \ell \geq 2 \\ p^\ell \leq Q_0}} \left\lfloor \frac{j}{p^\ell} \right\rfloor \log p - j\,\sigma_2(Q_0), \qquad \sigma_2(Q_0) := \sum_{\substack{p \geq 2, \, \ell \geq 2 \\ p^\ell \leq Q_0}} \frac{\log p}{p^\ell}. $$

Thus each column $(i, j) \in C$ has effective derivative slope $\text{slope}_j := \log(R/\rho_n) - \sigma_2(Q_0)$ and 1D remainder excess $H(j) := j\,\sigma_2(Q_0) - \sum_{p \geq 2, \ell \geq 2, p^\ell \leq Q_0}\lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor\log p$ ($0 \leq j < J$). On the infinite tail ($Q_0 = 1000$), bounding each of the $25$ prime powers $q = p^\ell \leq 1000$ by filling its largest remainders $q-1, q-2, \ldots$ up to capacity $c_{\text{bin}}(q) := n\lceil J/q\rceil$ ($b_{\text{full}}(q) := \min(q, \lfloor M_{\text{tri}}/c_{\text{bin}}(q)\rfloor)$, $r_{\text{rem}}(q) := M_{\text{tri}} - b_{\text{full}}(q)c_{\text{bin}}(q)$) gives $\text{const}_j := 2\sum_{q = p^\ell \leq 1000} \frac{c_{\text{bin}}(q)(b_{\text{full}}(q)(q - 1) - \binom{b_{\text{full}}(q)}{2}) + r_{\text{rem}}(q)\max(0, q - 1 - b_{\text{full}}(q))}{M_{\text{tri}}\, q}\log p$, whereas on every finite interval ($Q_0 = J - 1$), sorting the 1D array $H(0), \ldots, H(J-1)$ in non-increasing order $H_{(1)} \geq \cdots \geq H_{(J)}$ (using the precomputed universal array $\text{PP\_FL}[j] := \sum_{p \geq 2, \ell \geq 2}\lfloor j/p^\ell\rfloor\log p$) bounds $\sum_{(i,j)\in C} 2 H(j) \leq M_{\text{tri}}\,\text{const}_j$ across all $|C| = M_{\text{tri}}$ via

$$ \text{const}_j := \frac{2}{M_{\text{tri}}}\left(n\sum_{m=1}^{\lfloor M_{\text{tri}}/n\rfloor} H_{(m)} + (M_{\text{tri}} \bmod n)\, H_{(\lfloor M_{\text{tri}}/n\rfloor + 1)}\right). $$

To bound the linear derivative orders $j\,\text{slope}_j$, falling factorials $R f(r_u, j/R)$, and radial factors $(r+s-j)_+\log(\rho_n/\rho_i)$ jointly across all column selections $C \subset \{1, \ldots, n\} \times \{0, \ldots, J-1\}$ of size $M_{\text{tri}} = \theta n J$: let $c_i := \#\{j : (i, j) \in C\} \in \{0, \ldots, J\}$ and let $0 \leq j_{i,1} < \cdots < j_{i,c_i} \leq J-1$ be the chosen orders at $P_i$, so $j_{i,c_i+1-m} \leq J - m$ for $1 \leq m \leq c_i$. Let $j_{(1)} \leq \cdots \leq j_{(M_{\text{tri}})}$ be the non-decreasing rearrangement of $\{j : (i, j) \in C\}$ and let $j_{\text{top},(1)} \leq \cdots \leq j_{\text{top},(M_{\text{tri}})}$ be the non-decreasing rearrangement of the top-order multiset $\mathcal{J}_{\text{top}}(c) := \{J - m : 1 \leq i \leq n, 1 \leq m \leq c_i\}$. For every $k \in \{1, \ldots, M_{\text{tri}}\}$, at least $M_{\text{tri}} - k + 1$ elements of $\mathcal{J}_{\text{top}}(c)$ lie in $[j_{\text{top},(k)}, J-1]$ while each $P_i$ contributes at most $J - j_{\text{top},(k)}$ such elements, so $M_{\text{tri}} - k + 1 \leq n(J - j_{\text{top},(k)})$ and hence

$$ 0 \leq j_{(k)} \leq j_{\text{top},(k)} \leq J - \frac{M_{\text{tri}} - k + 1}{n} < j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) := J - \frac{M_{\text{tri}} - k}{n} = \big(1 - \theta(1 - G_k)\big)J = \big(1 - \theta(1 - u_k)^2\big)J. $$

Because $f(r_u, j_u) := r_u\log r_u - (r_u - j_u)\log(r_u - j_u) - j_u \leq 0$ has positive mixed partial $\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial r_u \partial j_u} = \frac{1}{r_u - j_u} > 0$ and is increasing in $r_u \leq r_u(u_k) := \min(1, (1 + \frac{1}{S})u_k + \frac{1}{R})$, Hardy–Littlewood–Lorentz rearrangement gives $\sum_{(i,j)\in C}\big[j\,\text{slope}_j + R f(\frac{r_{\pi^{-1}(i,j)}+1}{R}, \frac{j}{R})\big] \leq \sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}} g_{\max}\big(r_u(u_k), j_{\text{top},(k)}\big)$, where $g_{\max}(r_u, x) := \max_{0 \leq \tilde{x} \leq \min(R r_u, x)}\big[\tilde{x}\,\text{slope}_j + R f(r_u, \tilde{x}/R)\big]$ is concave and non-decreasing in $x \geq 0$ with derivative $\frac{\partial g_{\max}}{\partial x}(r_u, x) = \big(\text{slope}_j + \log(r_u - x/R)\big)_+ \geq 0$. Evaluating at the uniform envelope $j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)$ on $M_{\text{steps}}$ equal $u$-bins $[u_m, u_{m+1}]$ ($u_m := m / M_{\text{steps}}$) defines the uniform falling-factorial saving

$$ \text{save}_{\text{deriv}} := 3\sum_{m=0}^{M_{\text{steps}}-1} \max\left(0, \; \frac{2(1 - u_{m+1})}{M_{\text{steps}}} - \frac{1}{M_{\text{tri}}}\right)\big(j_{\text{low},m}\text{slope}_j - g_{\max,m}\big)_+, $$

where $j_{\text{low},m} := \max\big(0, \frac{(1 - \theta(1 - u_m)^2)J - 1}{R}\big)$, $r_{u,m} := \min\big(1, (1 + \frac{1}{S})u_{m+1} + \frac{1}{R}\big)$, $j^*_m := \max\big(0, \min(j_{\text{low},m}, r_{u,m} - e^{-\text{slope}_j})\big)$, and $g_{\max,m} := \max(0, j^*_m\text{slope}_j + f(r_{u,m}, j^*_m))$ for $j^*_m > 0$ ($0$ otherwise).

5.2 Staircase Concavity-Ramp Coupling, Exact Pascal Hockey-Stick Identity, and Convex Variational Duality

Lemma 5.2 (Staircase Concavity-Ramp Variational Duality and Pascal Hockey-Stick Identity). Choose $n$ as an exact integer multiple of $M_{\text{steps}}$ ($m_{\text{bin}} := n / M_{\text{steps}} \in \mathbb{Z}$) and let $C \subset \{1, \ldots, n\} \times \{0, \ldots, J-1\}$ have cardinality $|C| = M_{\text{tri}} = \theta n J$ with $\theta\frac{J}{R} < \frac{1}{2}$. For $L_{\text{steps}} := 60$, set $m_{\text{start}} := \max(1, \lfloor 0.14 J\rfloor)$ and $m_{\text{end}} := \max(m_{\text{start}} + 1, \min(\lfloor M_{\text{tri}}/n\rfloor - 1, \lfloor 0.45 J\rfloor))$ on finite intervals (or $m_{\text{start}}^0 := \max(1, \lfloor 0.14 J_{\text{lo}}\rfloor)$ and $m_{\text{end}}^0 := \lfloor 0.42 J_{\text{lo}}\rfloor$ on the infinite tail), define the candidate integer cuts $m_r := m_{\text{start}} + \lfloor \frac{(m_{\text{end}} - m_{\text{start}})(r-1)}{L_{\text{steps}}-1}\rfloor$ ($1 \leq r \leq L_{\text{steps}}$, skipping any duplicate $m_r$, or $m_r(D) := \lceil \tau_{\text{base},r} J(D)\rceil$ with $\tau_{\text{base},r} := m_r^0 / J_{\text{lo}}$ on the infinite tail), and stop at the last index $L \leq L_{\text{steps}}$ where the admissibility conditions $G_r := 1 - \frac{n m_r}{M_{\text{tri}}} > 0$, $\text{arg}_r := 1 - \sqrt{1 - G_r} - (1 - \tau_r)\frac{J}{R} > 0$ ($\tau_r := m_r / J$), and $\nu_r := \text{slope}_j + \log(\text{arg}_r) > 0$ all hold strictly. Setting $\nu_{L+1} := 0$ and retaining all steps $1 \leq r \leq L$ with positive increment $\Delta\nu_r := (\nu_r - \nu_{r+1})_+ > 0$, one has:

  1. Because $\theta\frac{J}{R} < \frac{1}{2}$, the function $h(G) := 1 - \sqrt{1 - G} - (1 - \theta(1 - G))\frac{J}{R}$ is strictly increasing on $[0, 1]$ ($h'(G) = \frac{1}{2\sqrt{1-G}} - \theta\frac{J}{R} \geq \frac{1}{2} - \theta\frac{J}{R} > 0$). Thus for every $k \in \{1, \ldots, M_{\text{tri}}\}$, concavity of $x \mapsto g_{\max}(r_u(u_k), x)$ on $[j_{\text{top},(k)}, j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)]$ implies $\frac{\partial g_{\max}}{\partial x}(r_u(u_k), x) \geq \sum_{r=1}^L \Delta\nu_r \mathbf{1}_{x \geq J - m_r}$ on $[j_{\text{top},(k)}, j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)]$, and hence$$ g_{\max}\big(r_u(u_k), j_{\text{top},(k)}\big) \leq g_{\max}\big(r_u(u_k), j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)\big) - \sum_{r=1}^L \Delta\nu_r\Big[\big(j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) - (J - m_r)\big)_+ - \big(j_{\text{top},(k)} - (J - m_r)\big)_+\Big]. $$Summing over $k = 1, \ldots, M_{\text{tri}}$ using $\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}} j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) = M_{\text{tri}} J(1 - \frac{1}{2}\theta) + \frac{1}{2}\theta J$ and the exact multiset identity $\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}}\big[\big(j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) - (J - m_r)\big)_+ - \big(j_{\text{top},(k)} - (J - m_r)\big)_+\big] = \frac{(n+1)m_r}{2} + \frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n (m_r - c_i)_+(m_r - c_i - 1) \geq \frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n (m_r - c_i)_+^2$, while on the radial term the joint identity $(r_k + s_k - j)_+ \geq (r_k + s_k - J)_+ + (J - j) - (J - r_k - s_k)_+$ (with $J - j_{i,c_i+1-m} \geq m$) and the exact integer Pascal hockey-stick identity$$ \sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}} (J - r - s)_+ \leq \sum_{s=0}^{S-1}\sum_{r \geq 0} (J - r - s)_+ = \sum_{s=0}^{S-1} \binom{(J - s)_+ + 1}{2} = \binom{J + 2}{3} - \binom{(J - S)_+ + 2}{3} $$(with exact equality whenever $J \leq K + S - 1$) recover $+\frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n c_i^2 \log(\rho_n/\rho_{\max(i,i_0)}) - L_{b_0}\Delta_0\frac{W_{\text{main}}}{2}$ with zero Riemann-sum discretization error, where $b_0 := \lfloor 0.55 M_{\text{steps}}\rfloor$ and for all $J \geq S$:$$ \Delta_0(R, J) := \frac{2\big(\binom{J+2}{3} - \binom{(J-S)_+ + 2}{3}\big)}{W_{\text{main}}} = \frac{J(J+1)(J+2) - (J-S)(J-S+1)(J-S+2)}{R^2 S} = 3\left(\frac{J + 1}{R}\right)^2 - \frac{3}{K}\left(\frac{J + 1}{R}\right) + \frac{1}{K^2} - \frac{1}{R^2}. $$(In particular, since $u \mapsto 3u^2 - \frac{3}{K}u + \frac{1}{K^2}$ is strictly increasing for $u > \frac{1}{2K}$, on the infinite tail $D \geq D_{\text{tail}}$ where $R(D) \geq R_{\text{lo}}$, $J_{\text{lo}} = \lfloor \varepsilon_J R_{\text{lo}}\rfloor$, and $J_{\text{hi,eff}} := J_{\text{lo}} + 1 > \varepsilon_J R_{\text{lo}}$, one has $\frac{J(D)+1}{R(D)} \leq \varepsilon_J + \frac{1}{R_{\text{lo}}} < \frac{J_{\text{hi,eff}}+1}{R_{\text{lo}}}$ and $\Delta_0(R(D), J(D)) \leq 3(\varepsilon_J + \frac{1}{R_{\text{lo}}})^2 - \frac{3}{K}(\varepsilon_J + \frac{1}{R_{\text{lo}}}) + \frac{1}{K^2} < \Delta_0(R_{\text{lo}}, J_{\text{hi,eff}}) =: \Delta_0^{\text{tail}}$.)

Define the smooth convex joint radial function $\Phi_{\text{joint}}(G) := 3\int_0^G \big(u_{r+s}(Q) - u_{0,\text{joint}}\big)_+\,dQ$ ($u_{0,\text{joint}} := \frac{J+2}{R}$, closed-form antiderivative via $\int (1 - \sqrt{\alpha(1-Q)} - u_0)\,dQ = \frac{2}{\alpha}\big[\frac{1+u_0}{2}t^2 - \frac{1}{3}t^3 - u_0 t\big]_{t=1-\sqrt{\alpha(1-Q)}}$, and derivative $B_{\text{joint}}(G) := \Phi'_{\text{joint}}(G) = 3(u_{r+s}(G) - u_{0,\text{joint}})_+$). Then for every admissible column set $C$, with zero bin-discretization error:$$ \frac{2}{W_{\text{main}}}\sum_{(i,j)\in C}\left[j\,\text{slope}_j + R f\!\left(\frac{r_{\pi^{-1}(i,j)}+1}{R}, \frac{j}{R}\right)\right] - \frac{2}{W_{\text{main}}}\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}} \big(r_k + s_k - j_{\pi(k)}\big)_+ \log\!\left(\frac{\rho_n}{\rho_{i_{\pi(k)}}}\right) \leq \gamma_{\text{unif}}\text{slope}_j - \mathcal{F}(w) - \text{save}_{\text{deriv}}, $$where $\gamma_{\text{unif}} := \frac{2}{W_{\text{main}}}\big(M_{\text{tri}} J(1 - \frac{1}{2}\theta) + \frac{1}{2}\theta J\big)$ and $\mathcal{F}(w) := \sum_{b=0}^{M_{\text{steps}}-1} (L_b - L_{b+1})\Phi_{\text{joint}}\big(G_b(w)\big) + \frac{1}{M_{\text{steps}}}\sum_{b=0}^{M_{\text{steps}}-1} \frac{3(J/R)}{2\theta}\Big[L_{\max(b,b_0)} w_b^2 + \sum_{r=1}^L \Delta\nu_r(\tau_r - w_b)_+^2\Big] - L_{b_0}\Delta_0$ is a convex functional on the simplex $\mathcal{P} := \{w \in [0, 1]^{M_{\text{steps}}} : \sum_{b=0}^{M_{\text{steps}}-1} w_b = \theta M_{\text{steps}}\}$.
  3. Because $\frac{\partial G_b(w)}{\partial w_a} = \frac{1}{\theta M_{\text{steps}}}\mathbf{1}_{a \leq b}$ and $\frac{1}{2}(\tau_r - v_a)_+^2 \geq \frac{1}{2}(\tau_r - w^*_a)_+^2 - (\tau_r - w^*_a)_+(v_a - w^*_a)$, at any rational witness $w^*_a = k_a / D_{\text{den}} \in \mathcal{P}$ ($\sum_a k_a = N_{\text{num}} = \theta M_{\text{steps}} D_{\text{den}}$) the exact supporting-hyperplane subgradient is$$ (\nabla\mathcal{F}(w^*))_a = \frac{1}{M_{\text{steps}}}\left[\sum_{b=a}^{M_{\text{steps}}-1} \frac{(L_b - L_{b+1}) B_{\text{joint}}\big(G_b(w^*)\big)}{\theta} + \frac{3(J/R)}{\theta}\Big(L_{\max(a,b_0)} w^*_a - \sum_{r=1}^L \Delta\nu_r(\tau_r - w^*_a)_+\Big)\right], $$and hence for every admissible column set $C$ (whose induced bin-density vector $v = w(C)$ lies in $\mathcal{P}$), $\mathcal{F}(w(C)) \geq \min_{v \in \mathcal{P}} \mathcal{F}(v) \geq \mathcal{F}_{\text{lb}}(w^*) := \mathcal{F}(w^*) - \max_{v \in \mathcal{P}} \langle \nabla\mathcal{F}(w^*), w^* - v\rangle$, where $\max_{v \in \mathcal{P}} \langle \nabla\mathcal{F}(w^*), w^* - v\rangle$ is solved in closed form by greedily filling $v_{\min,a} = m_a / D_{\text{den}} \in [0, 1]$ ($\sum_a m_a = N_{\text{num}}$) in non-decreasing order of $(\nabla\mathcal{F}(w^*))_a$.

Proof. Part (1) (Staircase concavity-ramp coupling and Pascal hockey-stick identity): For each step $r \in \{1, \ldots, L\}$, $j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) = (1 - \theta(1 - G_k))J \geq J - m_r \iff G_k \geq 1 - \frac{n m_r}{M_{\text{tri}}} = G_r$, so monotonicity of $h(G)$ on $[G_r, 1]$ gives $r_u(u_k) - j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)/R \geq h(G_k) \geq h(G_r) = \text{arg}_r > 0$ and $\frac{\partial g_{\max}}{\partial x}(r_u(u_k), x) \geq \nu_r$ for $x \in [J - m_r, j_{\text{unif}}(u_k)]$. Writing $s = M_{\text{tri}} - k \in \{0, \ldots, n m_r - 1\}$ gives $\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}}(j_{\text{unif}}(u_k) - (J - m_r))_+ = \sum_{s=0}^{n m_r - 1}(m_r - s/n) = \frac{n m_r^2 + m_r}{2}$, while on $\mathcal{J}_{\text{top}}(c) = \{J - m : 1 \leq i \leq n, 1 \leq m \leq c_i\}$ we have $\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}}(j_{\text{top},(k)} - (J - m_r))_+ = \sum_{i=1}^n \sum_{m=1}^{c_i}(m_r - m)_+ = \frac{n m_r(m_r - 1)}{2} - \frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n (m_r - c_i)_+(m_r - c_i - 1)$. Subtracting the two identities and using $\sum_{i=1}^n (m_r - c_i)_+ \leq n m_r$ gives $\frac{(n+1)m_r}{2} + \frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n ((m_r - c_i)_+^2 - (m_r - c_i)_+) \geq \frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^n (m_r - c_i)_+^2$, and summing with weights $\Delta\nu_r > 0$ yields the staircase ramp. On the radial term, decomposing $(r_k + s_k - j)_+ \geq (r_k + s_k - J)_+ + (J - j) - (J - r_k - s_k)_+$ gives $\sum_{m=1}^{c_i} (J - j_{i,c_i+1-m})\log(\rho_n/\rho_i) \geq \frac{1}{2}c_i^2 \log(\rho_n/\rho_{\max(i,i_0)})$ ($i_0 := b_0 m_{\text{bin}}$), while since $\log(\rho_n/\rho_{\max(i,i_0)}) \leq L_{b_0}$ and $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} \subset \{r \geq 0, \, 0 \leq s \leq S - 1\}$ (with every $(r, s)$ with $r + s \leq J$ lying inside $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ whenever $J \leq K + S - 1$), the Pascal hockey-stick identity $\sum_{m=0}^N \binom{m+1}{2} = \binom{N+2}{3}$ gives $\sum_{(r,s)\in\Lambda_{\text{tri}}}(J - r - s)_+ \leq \binom{J+2}{3} - \binom{(J-S)_+ + 2}{3}$, and expanding $(J+1)^3 - (J+1) - ((J-S+1)^3 - (J-S+1)) = 3S(J+1)^2 - 3S^2(J+1) + S^3 - S$ for $J \geq S$ yields the exact polynomial identity for $\Delta_0(R, J)$. Parts (2) and (3) follow identically by Cauchy–Schwarz on each block $I_b$ ($\sum_{i \in I_b}(m_r - c_i)_+^2 \geq m_{\text{bin}} J^2(\tau_r - w_b)_+^2$), Abel summation over $b$, and supporting-hyperplane convexity of $\Phi_{\text{joint}}(G_b(v))$, $v_b^2$, and $(\tau_r - v_b)_+^2$ on $\mathcal{P}$. (Remark: One can also take $\Phi_{\max} = \max(\Phi_{\text{joint}}, \Phi_{\text{split}})$ with the split identity $(r+s-j)_+ \geq s + (r-J)_+ + (J-j) - (J-r)_+$ when using the larger common correction $\sum_{k=1}^{M_{\text{tri}}}(J - r_k)_+$, as verified in Part 1 of supplement/verify_jet_disk.py; on our certified intervals $\sigma_b = \text{joint}$ for all $b$, unlocking the $44\%$ smaller Pascal hockey-stick $\Delta_0$.) $\square$

6.1 Complete Assembly, Analytical Infinite-Tail Proof, and Contiguous Interval Certification

Suppose $-D < -163$ is a fundamental discriminant with $h(-D) = 1$, and fix $(c_R, K, \varepsilon_J, K_{\text{drop}}) = (2.3, 31, 0.058, 0)$. For any integer parameters $S \geq 10$, $R = KS$, $J = \lfloor \varepsilon_J R\rfloor$, prime cutoff $P_{\max} \leq X := \frac{D-3}{4}$, and $n$ satisfying Lemma 3.3, there exists $C \subset \{1, \ldots, n\} \times \{0, \ldots, J-1\}$ of size $M_{\text{tri}}$ with $\det V_C^{\text{HS}} \in \mathcal{O}_K \setminus \{0\}$. Comparing the $p$-adic valuation of $N_{K/\mathbb{Q}}(\det V_C^{\text{HS}}) = |\det V_C^{\text{HS}}|^2 \geq 1$ across all primes $p \leq P_{\max}$ (all inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$ by Lemma 2.1) against the Leibniz upper bound yields $L_{\text{padic}}(D) \leq U_{\text{arch}}(D)$, where on finite prime sums we use the exact quadratic identity $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} w_r(p)\log p = \sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}}\frac{S_r(R, K, p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ (Lemma 4.2(1)), and for Rosser–Schoenfeld bounds we use Lemma 4.2(3):

$$ \begin{aligned} \frac{L_{\text{padic}}(D)}{W_{\text{main}}} &:= \sum_{2 \leq p < K} w_{\text{keep}}(p)\log p + \sum_{\substack{K \leq p \leq \sqrt{S} \\ \ell \geq 1, \, p^{2\ell} \leq S}} \frac{2K\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(S, p^{2\ell})}{W_{\text{main}}}\log p + \left(1 + \frac{3K}{2R}\right)\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} \frac{\log p}{p} \\ &\quad - \frac{3(R + K)}{2R^2}\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} \log p + \sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} \left(\frac{p}{2R^2} - \frac{p^2}{12\sqrt{3}R^3}\right)\log p, \\ \frac{U_{\text{arch}}(D)}{W_{\text{main}}} &:= \frac{W_1 + W_2}{W_{\text{main}}}\log \rho_n + \gamma_{\text{unif}}\text{slope}_j - \mathcal{F}_{\text{lb}}(w^*) - \text{save}_{\text{deriv}} + \frac{M_{\text{tri}}\text{const}_j + 2M_{\text{tri}}\log M_{\text{tri}}}{W_{\text{main}}}. \end{aligned} $$

Prime-Sum Derivations from Rosser–Schoenfeld [10]: For every $p \leq P_{\max}$, $p^2\log p \leq P_{\max} p\log p$, so $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}}\left(\frac{p}{2R^2} - \frac{p^2}{12\sqrt{3}R^3}\right)\log p \geq \left(\frac{1}{2R^2} - \frac{P_{\max}}{12\sqrt{3}R^3}\right)\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} p\log p$. We bound the three prime sums over $[K, P_{\max}]$ using only Rosser and Schoenfeld [10]:

  1. By [10, Theorem 6, p. 70], $\sum_{p \leq x}\frac{\log p}{p} > \log x + E - \frac{1}{2\log x}$ for all $x > 1$, where $E = -\gamma - \sum_p \frac{\log p}{p(p-1)} = -1.33258227573\ldots$.
  2. By [10, Theorem 4, p. 69], $x\left(1 - \frac{1}{2\log x}\right) < \vartheta(x) < x\left(1 + \frac{1}{2\log x}\right)$ for all $x \geq 563$, and by [10, Theorem 18, p. 72], $\vartheta(x) < x$ for all $0 < x \leq 10^8$.
  3. By Abel summation, $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} p\log p = P_{\max}\vartheta(P_{\max}) - K\vartheta(K-1) - \int_K^{P_{\max}}\vartheta(t)\,dt$. On $P_{\max} \in [563, 10^8]$, substituting $\vartheta(P_{\max}) > P_{\max}\left(1 - \frac{1}{2\log P_{\max}}\right)$ and $\vartheta(t) < t$ (from [10, Theorems 4 and 18]) gives $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} p\log p > \frac{1}{2}P_{\max}^2\left(1 - \frac{1}{\log P_{\max}}\right) - K^2$. On the unbounded range $P_{\max} \geq 563$, using only [10, Theorem 4] and the elementary derivative $\frac{d}{dt}\left(\frac{t^2}{2\log t} + \frac{t^2}{3(\log t)^2}\right) = \frac{t}{\log t} + \frac{t(\log t - 4)}{6(\log t)^3} \geq \frac{t}{\log t}$ for $t \geq e^4 \approx 54.6$ yields $\int_{563}^{P_{\max}}\frac{t}{2\log t}\,dt \leq \frac{P_{\max}^2}{4\log P_{\max}} + \frac{P_{\max}^2}{6(\log P_{\max})^2}$ and hence $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} p\log p > \frac{1}{2}P_{\max}^2\left(1 - \frac{3}{2\log P_{\max}} - \frac{1}{3(\log P_{\max})^2}\right) - 160,000$ for all $P_{\max} \geq 563$.

To prove $L_{\text{padic}}(D) > U_{\text{arch}}(D)$ for all integers $D \geq B$ without discrete grid-sampling gaps or floating-point rounding ambiguity, we combine a single-shot analytical infinite-tail bound with contiguous constant-parameter interval certification ($M_{\text{steps}} = 800$), propagating self-certifying directed-rounding interval enclosures (FInterval via IEEE-754 math.nextafter and 26-digit decimal.Decimal ROUND_FLOOR/ROUND_CEILING DInterval, where integer floor sums use exact Python integer arithmetic, square roots are verified by directed-rounded multiplication $s^2 \leq x_{\text{lo}}$ and $t^2 \geq x_{\text{hi}}$, and logarithms and exponentials are enclosed from $\log(1) = 0$ via rational artanh and Taylor series using only $+, -, \times, \div$):

  • Step 1: Single-Shot Analytical Infinite-Tail Proof for All $D \in [6,450,000, \, \infty)$. For all $D \geq D_{\text{tail}} := 6,450,000$ ($X = \frac{D-3}{4} \geq X_{\text{lo}} = 1,612,499.25$), setting $S = \lfloor c_R X/K\rfloor \geq S_{\text{lo}} = 119,637$ and $P_{\max} = X$ gives $R = KS \geq R_{\text{lo}} = 3,708,747$, $J = \lfloor \varepsilon_J R\rfloor \geq J_{\text{lo}} = 215,107$, $R/X \in [c_R^{\text{lo}}, c_R] = [2.299980, 2.3]$, $J/R \in [\varepsilon_J^{\text{lo}}, \varepsilon_J] = [0.0579997, 0.058]$, $n/(RS/J) \in [\gamma_n^{\text{lo}}, \gamma_n^{\text{hi}}] = [1.058000, 1.060553]$ (with $M_{\text{steps}} \mid n$), and $\theta = \frac{M_{\text{tri}}}{nJ} \in [\theta_{\text{lo}}, \theta_{\text{hi}}] = [0.471606, 0.472592]$. Writing $\log \rho_n = \frac{3}{4}\log X + C_\rho(D)$ where $C_\rho(D) = \frac{1}{2}\log\big(\frac{(n/X)\sqrt{1+3/(4X)}}{\pi}\big) + \log(1 + \eta_D) \in [C_\rho^{\text{lo}}, C_\rho^{\text{hi}}]$ and $\eta_D = \frac{\delta_D}{\text{base\_rad}} \in (0, \eta_{\text{hi}}]$, and rescaling the variational weights in Lemma 5.2 by $\tilde{w}_b := \frac{\theta_{\text{lo}}}{\theta(D)}w_b \in \mathcal{P}(\theta_{\text{lo}})$ with $\tilde{\tau}_r := \frac{\theta_{\text{lo}}}{\theta_{\text{hi}}}\tau_{\text{base},r}$ ($1 \leq r \leq 60$, $m_r(D) = \lceil \tau_{\text{base},r} J(D)\rceil$, using the lower bound $\varepsilon_J^{\text{lo}} = J_{\text{lo}}/R_{\text{lo}} \leq J(D)/R(D)$ in the positive quadratic prefactor $\frac{3(J/R)}{2\theta}$ and the upper bound $J_{\text{hi,eff}} := J_{\text{lo}} + 1 = 215,108 > \varepsilon_J R_{\text{lo}}$ in $u_{0,\text{joint}}^{\text{tail}} := \frac{J_{\text{hi,eff}}+2}{R_{\text{lo}}} > \frac{J(D)+2}{R(D)}$ and $\Delta_0^{\text{tail}} := \Delta_0(R_{\text{lo}}, J_{\text{hi,eff}}) = 0.0055197929 > 3(\varepsilon_J + \frac{1}{R_{\text{lo}}})^2 - \frac{3}{K}(\varepsilon_J + \frac{1}{R_{\text{lo}}}) + \frac{1}{K^2} \geq \sup_{D \geq D_{\text{tail}}}\Delta_0(R(D), J(D))$, which preserves $G_b(\tilde{w}) = G_b(w)$ and satisfies $\mathcal{F}_D(w) \geq \mathcal{F}_{\text{lo}}(\tilde{w})$ pointwise for all $D \geq D_{\text{tail}}$), the $\log(X/X_{\text{lo}}) \geq 0$ terms combine with positive net coefficient $1 - \frac{3}{4}\frac{W_1+W_2}{W_{\text{main}}} - \frac{3}{4}\gamma_{\text{unif}}^{\text{ub}} \geq +0.126068 > 0$, while evaluating the remaining bounded terms at their worst-case endpoints on $[6,450,000, \infty)$ using only [10, Theorems 4 and 6] yields the 26-digit directed-rounded enclosure $\frac{L_{\text{padic}}(D) - U_{\text{arch}}(D)}{W_{\text{main}}} \in [+0.001338035330615531, \, +0.001338043960059529] > 0$ for all $D \geq 6,450,000$.
  • Step 2: Contiguous Constant-Parameter Interval Certification on $[B_{\text{RS}}, \, 6,450,000]$ and $[B_{\text{prime}}, \, B_{\text{RS}}]$. On any finite interval $[D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}]$, we hold the integer parameters $P_{\max} := \lfloor(D_{\text{lo}}-3)/4\rfloor$, $S := \lfloor c_R P_{\max}/K\rfloor$, $R := KS$, $J := \lfloor \varepsilon_J R\rfloor$, and $n = M_{\text{steps}}\lceil n_{\text{req}}/M_{\text{steps}}\rceil$ (chosen via $M_y^{\text{hi}} = 2\lfloor 2\rho_n(D_{\text{hi}})/\sqrt{D_{\text{lo}}}\rfloor + 1$ and $M_x^{\text{hi}} = \lfloor 2\rho_n(D_{\text{hi}})\rfloor + 1$ so Lemma 3.3 holds across $[D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}]$) constant. Because $S, R, J, P_{\max}, n, \theta$ are constant on $[D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}]$, $L_{\text{padic}}$ is constant on $[D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}]$ and $U_{\text{arch}}(D)$ depends on $D$ only through the monotone functions $\rho_n(D) \in [\rho_n(D_{\text{lo}}), \rho_n(D_{\text{hi}})]$ and $\eta_D \in [\eta(D_{\text{hi}}), \eta(D_{\text{lo}})]$. Covering $[5,795,003, \, 6,450,000]$ by $34$ contiguous constant-parameter intervals under Rosser–Schoenfeld [10, Theorems 4, 6, and 18] certifies $L_{\text{padic}} > U_{\text{arch}}(D)$ across the entire range with minimum directed-rounded gap $+2.437418 \times 10^{-4} > 0$, establishing $D \leq B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$ ($\log B_{\text{RS}} \approx 15.572507$). Covering $[4,700,539, \, 5,795,003]$ by $38$ contiguous constant-parameter intervals using exact prime sums $\sum_{K \leq p \leq P_{\max}} \frac{S_r(R, K, p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ (evaluated in $O(\sqrt{R})$ integer operations by grouping primes with identical quotient $q = \lfloor R/p\rfloor$) certifies $L_{\text{padic}} > U_{\text{arch}}(D)$ down to $B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$ ($\log B_{\text{prime}} \approx 15.363188$, $X = 1,175,134$) with minimum directed-rounded gap $+1.522944 \times 10^{-4} > 0$.
  • Step 3: Hybrid Split-Prime Norm-Form & Forced UFD Composite Certification on $[B_{\text{hybrid}}, \, B_{\text{prime}}] = [875, \, 4,700,539]$. For $D \in [D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}] \subset [875, \, 4,700,539]$ with $D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}} \equiv 3 \pmod{4}$, set $M(D) := \frac{D+1}{4} \in [M_{\text{lo}}, M_{\text{hi}}]$ ($X(D) = M(D) - 1 \geq 218$) and extend the prime cutoff to $P_{\max} \in \{1,699,999, \, 8,999,999\} \subset (X(D), M_{\text{lo}}^3)$ (since $M_{\text{lo}}^3 \geq 219^3 = 10,503,459 > 8,999,999$). Every prime $p \leq X(D)$ is inert in $\mathcal{O}_K$ (in particular all primes $p < K \leq 31$ are unconditionally inert since $X(D) \geq 218$). At any split prime $p \in (X(D), P_{\max}]$ ($p\mathcal{O}_K = \mathfrak{p}\bar{\mathfrak{p}}$, $\mathcal{O}_K/p\mathcal{O}_K \cong \mathbb{F}_p \times \mathbb{F}_p$), every $z_i \in \mathcal{O}_K$ satisfies $\bar{z}_i^p - \bar{z}_i \in p\mathcal{O}_K$, so the monic degree-$s$ polynomial $\tilde{A}_s^{(p)}(z') := (z')^{\tilde{d}_0}\prod_{\ell \geq 1} G_\ell(z')^{\tilde{d}_\ell} \in \mathbb{Z}[z']$ formed from the base-$p$ digits $\tilde{d}_\ell$ of $s$ via $G_1(z') := (z')^p - z'$ and $G_{\ell+1}(z') := G_\ell(z')^p - p^{p^\ell-1}G_\ell(z')$ realizes the split-prime row valuation $v_p(\tilde{A}_s^{(p)}(\bar{z}_i)) \geq \sum_{m \geq 1}\lfloor s/p^m\rfloor = v_p(s!)$ with zero derivative loss under $\mathcal{D}_z^{(j)}$, while the unitriangular basis $\tilde{P}_{r,s}^{(p)}(z, z') := z^r \tilde{A}_s^{(p)}(z')$ has zero column valuation loss ($b_{p,\text{split}}(j) = 0$ instead of $-\lfloor j/p\rfloor$; compare [14, Section "The factorial refinement uses the same smoothed sum"], which introduced the split-prime row saving $v_p(s!)$ and retained column factorial in the smoothed norm-series setting, whereas here we combine the explicit $G_\ell(z')$ tower on $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ with joint 1D column remainder sorting and finite UFD composite-norm subtraction). Thus switching a prime $p > X(D)$ from inert to split replaces $w_r(p)\log p = \frac{S_r(R, K, p)\log p}{K W_{\text{main}}}$ by the odd-power $s$-gain $s_{\text{gain}}(p)\log p := \frac{2K\log p}{W_{\text{main}}}\sum_{\ell \geq 1}\Sigma_{\text{tri}}(S, p^{2\ell-1})$ (retaining the even powers $p^{2\ell}$ already in $L_{\text{padic}}$) and retains the first-power Legendre saving $-\lfloor j/p\rfloor\log p$ in $-\log(j!)$ across all columns $(i, j) \in C$. By Lemma 4.2(2), $p \mapsto w_r(p)\log p$ is strictly decreasing on $[3, R]$, so any norm interval $p \in [p_{\text{lo}}, p_{\text{hi}}] \subset [3, \infty)$ satisfies the exact endpoint enclosure $w_r(p_{\text{hi}})\log p_{\text{hi}} \leq w_r(p)\log p \leq w_r(p_{\text{lo}})\log p_{\text{lo}}$. Since $\mathcal{O}_K = \mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ is a UFD with $\mathcal{O}_K^\times = \{\pm 1\}$ and every split prime $p = \pi\bar{\pi}$ has four generators $\{\pm\pi, \pm\bar{\pi}\}$ whose coordinates $(u = 2x+y, y)$ lie in the four distinct sign quadrants $(\pm, \pm)$, and since $M(D) = \frac{D+1}{4}$ is odd for $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ so $N_D(x, y) := x^2 + xy + M(D)y^2 \equiv x^2 + xy + y^2 \equiv 1 \pmod{2}$ is automatically odd for every pair $(x, y) \not\equiv (0, 0) \pmod{2}$ (and in particular whenever $\gcd(x, y) = 1$), every split prime $p \in (X(D), P_{\max}]$ occurs as $p = N_D(x, y) \in [p_{\text{lo}}(x, y), p_{\text{hi}}(x, y)]$ for a unique primitive pair $(x, y) \in \mathcal{N}_D(P_{\max}) := \{(x, y) \in \mathbb{Z}^2 : y \geq 1, u = 2x + y \geq 0, \gcd(x, y) = 1, N_D(x, y) \leq P_{\max}\}$ with $(x, y) \neq (-1, 2)$ (while $(-1, 2)$ on the imaginary axis $2x + y = 0$ gives the unique ramified prime $N_D(-1, 2) = D$). Furthermore, because no prime $q < M(D)$ can divide $N_D(x, y)$ for $(x, y) \in \mathcal{N}_D(P_{\max})$ and $P_{\max} < M_{\text{lo}}^3$: (i) every composite norm in $\mathcal{N}_D(P_{\max})$ is a product $m(D) = p_1(D)p_2(D) \in [m_{\text{lo}}, m_{\text{hi}}] := [p_{1,\text{lo}}p_{2,\text{lo}}, p_{1,\text{hi}}p_{2,\text{hi}}]$ of exactly two guaranteed primes $p_1, p_2 \leq \lfloor P_{\max}/M_{\text{lo}}\rfloor < M_{\text{lo}}^2$ with generators $2z_k = u_k + y_k\sqrt{-D}$ ($k=1,2$), whose products $z_1 z_2$ and $z_1\bar{z}_2$ have exact first-quadrant coordinates $(u_+(D) = |u_1 u_2 - D y_1 y_2|/2, \, y_+ = (u_1 y_2 + u_2 y_1)/2)$ and $(u_-(D) = (u_1 u_2 + D y_1 y_2)/2, \, y_- = |u_2 y_1 - u_1 y_2|/2)$ (with first-quadrant multiplicity $1$ for $\pi_1^2$, $2$ for $\pi_1\pi_2, \pi_1\bar{\pi}_2$ with $\pi_1 \neq \pi_2$ split, and $1$ for $\sqrt{-D}\bar{\pi}_1$, verified in Part 1 of supplement/verify_jet_disk.py by exact $1,718 = 1,718$ coordinate and multiset equality at $D = 163, P_{\max} = 68,000 < 41^3$); and (ii) every pair $(x, y) \in \mathcal{N}_D(P_{\max})$ with $p_{\text{hi}}(x, y) \leq q_{\text{cap}} := \min(Q_{\text{guar}}, M_{\text{lo}}^3 - 1, J - 1)$ whose coordinate $(u = 2x+y, y)$ does not lie in any composite interval $[u_{\pm,\text{lo}}, u_{\pm,\text{hi}}]$ on line $y_\pm$ is unconditionally prime for all $D \in [D_{\text{lo}}, D_{\text{hi}}]$. For this set $\mathcal{G}_{\text{slope}}$ of guaranteed primes, $-\lfloor j/p(D)\rfloor\log p(D) \leq -\lfloor j/p_{\text{hi}}\rfloor\log p_{\text{lo}} = -j\frac{\log p_{\text{lo}}}{p_{\text{hi}}} + \frac{j \bmod p_{\text{hi}}}{p_{\text{hi}}}\log p_{\text{lo}}$, where $-j\frac{\log p_{\text{lo}}}{p_{\text{hi}}}$ is absorbed into $\text{slope}_j^{\text{hi}}$ and the joint remainder sum $\sum_{(i,j)\in C} H(j)$ of the 1D array $H(j) := j\,\sigma_2^{\text{lo}} - \text{PP\_FL}[j] - \sum_{(p_{\text{lo}},p_{\text{hi}})\in\mathcal{G}_{\text{slope}}} \lfloor j/p_{\text{hi}}\rfloor\log p_{\text{lo}}$ ($0 \leq j < J$) is bounded across all $|C| = M_{\text{tri}}$ by sorting $H(0), \ldots, H(J-1)$ in non-increasing order and summing $n$ copies of the top $\lfloor M_{\text{tri}}/n\rfloor$ values plus $(M_{\text{tri}} \bmod n)$ copies of the next value. Covering $[875, \, 4,700,539]$ by $29$ contiguous intervals in certify_hybrid_interval() certifies $L_{\text{padic}}(D) > U_{\text{arch}}(D)$ down to $B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875$ ($\log B_{\text{hybrid}} \approx 6.774224$, minimum FInterval gap $+3.677351 \times 10^{-3} > 0$, bottom 26-digit DInterval gap $[+0.003969375637227, +0.003969406092500] > 0$ on $[875, 879]$, while at the genuine class-number-one discriminant $D = 163$ the bound gives $[-1.802574, -1.802553] < 0$, failing as required). 6.3 Certified Finite Elimination of Remaining Candidates

To complete the self-contained classification of class-number-one imaginary quadratic fields without invoking Heegner, Baker, or Stark, we eliminate every remaining integer $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ below our certified thresholds ($89$ candidates in $(163, 875]$ below $B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875$, and all $806,229$ candidates in $(163, 6,450,000]$ covering $B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$, $B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$, and $D_{\text{tail}} = 6,450,000$). By Lemma 2.1, if $h(-D) = 1$, then every odd prime $p < \frac{D+1}{4}$ must satisfy $\left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) = -1$. In Part 3 of supplement/verify_jet_disk.py, we iterate directly over all $806,229$ integers $D \equiv 3 \pmod{8}$ in $(163, 6,450,000]$ and exhibit for each $D$ the smallest odd prime $p \geq 3$ such that $-D \bmod p$ is a square modulo $p$ (so either $p \mid D$ or $\left(\frac{-D}{p}\right) = +1$). The entire verification completes in $0.21\text{ seconds}$ on a single CPU thread and confirms that: (i) every candidate in $(163, 875]$ is eliminated by one of the four smallest odd primes $p \in \{3, 5, 7, 11\}$ satisfying $p < \frac{D+1}{4}$ (since $D = 883$ and $D = 907$, the first two integers $> 163$ where $3, 5, 7, 11$ are all inert, are already excluded by $B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875 < 883$), and (ii) every candidate $163 < D \leq 6,450,000$ is eliminated by an odd prime $p \leq 61$ satisfying $p < \frac{D+1}{4}$ (for $D = 171$, $p = 3 < 43 = \frac{171+1}{4}$; the unique candidate in $(163, 6,450,000]$ requiring $p = 61$ is $D = 2,404,147$, for which $61 < 601,037 = \frac{2,404,147+1}{4}$ and $-2,404,147 \equiv 25 = 5^2 \pmod{61}$). This completes the proof of Theorem 1.1. $\square$

7. Scope, Limitations, and Reproducibility

7.1 Scope and Open Directions

Under the specified parameter schedules and inequalities, our results establish both the certified pure inert-window thresholds ($B_{\text{RS}} = 5,795,003$ and $B_{\text{prime}} = 4,700,539$ for $P_{\max} \leq \frac{D-3}{4}$) and the three-digit hybrid split-prime + UFD composite threshold ($B_{\text{hybrid}} = 875, \log B_{\text{hybrid}} \approx 6.7742$) on the weighted triangular biconjugate jet space $\Lambda_{\text{tri}} \subset \mathcal{O}_K[z, z']$. Pushing $B_{\text{hybrid}}$ below $875$ toward $163$ by extending the UFD composite subtraction to three-prime products $m = p_1 p_2 p_3 \leq P_{\max}$, or combining $\Lambda_{\text{tri}}$ with the general class-number $h(-D)$ norm-counting framework of [13, 14], is a natural next direction.

7.2 Reproducibility and Supplement Manifest

All proofs in Sections 2–6 are self-contained and closed-form. The supplementary archive supplement.zip contains:

Reviewer report

Accept

This is a substantive refinement of the accepted determinant argument. The revised bounds $B_{\mathrm{RS}}=5{,}795{,}003$, $B_{\mathrm{prime}}=4{,}700{,}539$, and $B_{\mathrm{hybrid}}=875$ remain supported after conservative checks of the endpoint bookkeeping described below. The improvement combines an exact triangular prime weight, additional conjugate-variable prime-power valuations, full finite column factorial savings, and a staircase variational bound. These are useful improvements within the stated framework, with appropriately limited claims about the parameter schedules.

The new quadratic floor-sum identity and its monotonicity argument are sound. Factoring the pure-$z'$ tower out of the divided derivatives preserves the unitriangular basis and supplies the additional even-power valuations without an additional derivative loss. The corrected decomposition on $T_{\mathrm{top}}$ accounts for the retained even powers consistently. The staircase follows from nested derivative bounds and the exact multiset ramp identity; the Pascal sum provides the required upper bound on the radial correction. Its equality condition should remain distinguished from the inequality used at the much larger certification parameters.

Comparison with the relevant parts of published rStation paper [13] and the cited v0.6.0 of [14] supports the distinction claimed for this update. In particular, [14] already uses exact smoothed floor weights and split-prime factorial savings. The added attribution in Section 6.1 is appropriate; the present contribution is their refinement and combination with the weighted triangle, biconjugate basis, staircase functional, and finite composite subtraction. The paper correctly retains [14]'s smaller numerical cutoff in its comparison.

I reproduced the supplied verification suite: all 34 Rosser–Schoenfeld intervals, 38 exact-prime intervals, 29 hybrid intervals, the infinite-tail calculation, and the finite elimination passed. The bottom hybrid Decimal result agrees with the reported interval beginning at $0.003969375637227$. The finite check eliminates all 89 residual candidates using $3,5,7,11$. Polynomial examples and finite-difference checks support the implementation but do not replace the general arguments.

The following local corrections should be incorporated into the certificate explanation and implementation:

  • The new tail prefactor needs a uniform floor bound. Section 6.1 asserts $J_{\mathrm{lo}}/R_{\mathrm{lo}}\le J(D)/R(D)$. This need not hold: at $D=6{,}450{,}107$, the schedule gives $(R,J)=(3{,}708{,}809,215{,}110)$, with a smaller ratio than $215{,}107/3{,}708{,}747$. Use $\varepsilon_J-1/R_{\mathrm{lo}}$, or the slightly weaker $(J_{\mathrm{lo}}-1)/R_{\mathrm{lo}}$, in the positive quadratic prefactor.
  • Separate the radial endpoints by sign. With fixed $n$, $\eta_D=\delta_D/\mathrm{base\_rad}$ increases for $D>4$, so the displayed ordering of its finite-interval endpoints is reversed. The positive radial terms can conservatively use $D_{\mathrm{hi}}$, while the negative term $-L_{b_0}\Delta_0$ uses the larger $L_{b_0}$ at $D_{\mathrm{lo}}$. On the infinite tail, bound this negative coefficient using its limit at $\eta=0$. In Lemma 5.2, define the clipped radial weight directly as $\min(\log(\rho_n/\rho_i),L_{b_0})$; the stated $i_0=b_0m_{\mathrm{bin}}$ does not give the claimed upper bound with the displayed right-endpoint definition of $L_{b_0}$.
  • Describe the tail certificate as a lower bound. The short Decimal interval encloses the computed constant in the lower-bound argument, not the actual determinant gap for every arbitrarily large $D$. Retain the positive logarithmic term when stating the uniform conclusion.

These corrections do not require weaker discriminant thresholds. A conservative rerun using the supplied interval routines, with the smaller tail prefactor and sign-correct radial endpoints, gives a tail constant enclosed by

All 101 finite intervals remain positive: the minimum float lower bounds are approximately $2.435958\times10^{-4}$, $1.521066\times10^{-4}$, and $3.677250\times10^{-3}$ in the three respective ranges. The same audit checked the final rank inequalities with outward-rounded radii and exact sufficient cutoff margins for the composite-exclusion step. This is a robustness check using the author's numerical machinery, not an independent implementation of the entire proof. It supports treating the issues above as local certification corrections rather than a failure of the strengthened results.
